Ordering flowers from ftd.?

ok i want to surprise somebody by sending her pink roses. but i want it to be a mystery and not have my name or address on it to say who ordered..

and i was just wondering if once they are delivered, will they attach my address and visa name account all on the delivery flowers for her to see?

Ordering flowers from ftd.?
Nope, it will include a note, to which you can say whatever you want. Any account information is only made available to the account holder (you).
Reply:No, not if you don't want them to.
Reply:nope, I sent my mom some flowers for easter, she had not idea!!
Reply:That depends on the florist and the state where they are located.

In the State of NY, sending an anonymous gift can be a basis for "Stalking in the fourth degree." A retailer who knowingly delivers an anonymous gift could also be held liable.

Therefore, our store policy is that 1) we would honor your request of wanting to remain anonymous, but 2) IF she asked, we would tell the name.

We generally discourage our customer to send his gift anonymously. From a recipient perspective, an anonymous gift could be seen more annoying (or even threatening) rather than mysterious.
Reply:No, not if you don't want them to.

How fast do I have to be paid, if Im a private contractor, and I quit my job?

I work as a floral contractor for Costco, if I quit my job how quickly do they have to pay me for services/hours worked? Also I don't get paid by the hours per-say, but I sign off on the product, "my flower delivery invoices," and I get 10% of everything I've sold. Does that make a difference?

Ryan

How fast do I have to be paid, if Im a private contractor, and I quit my job?
If you left without notice;-{ you may have to sue for it.

In other words, it's going to be a wash-out.
Reply:They have to pay you for your services performed. If they didn't like you or services, then they have the option to not use yoou again. I am not real sure but I think they have something like 24 hours or 2 days if you demand it and until the next scheduled pay period if you wait for it. I have quit jobs before and demanded it on the spot. Didn't make many friends on that one but wan't trying to. Got my money after a little screaming.

Is 20% discount from FTD (Forgot To Deliver) enough for missing my flower delivery to my mom for Mother's day?

My mom lost her daughter almost a year ago, leaving behind a 1year old. She just gave her granddaughter to the father (divorce) three weeks before Mother's day.

This mother's day she was going to be alone, so I splurged and spent $80 on flowers from FTD (Forgot To Deliver). Normally I use 1800FLOWERS, but I just used whatever ad I came upon first, which unfortunately was FTD.

So I called them, wondering how they missed Mother's day completely, and they offer me 20% off, saying they got the order but somehow missed it, and will deliver on Thursday.

Is 20% off enough, I figure 1/2 off at least. Do they make enough mistakes to only offer 20% to stay profitable? Or is this just a greedy company with no heart?

Is 20% discount from FTD (Forgot To Deliver) enough for missing my flower delivery to my mom for Mother's day?
i would tell ftd to NOT deliver any flowers because there was a reason why you wanted it to be on that day and missing the day is no use now. if they give you a hard time, tell them the story you told us here about your mom. cancel the order and make sure they dont charge you for anything because it was their mistake. i wouldn't even try to fight with them to get a discount. why talk to managers and higher ups? you'll only be helping them if you complain in this situation. they should be offering it for free before they lose your business if you ask me.

call the other dependable flower delivery service and have them deliver instead. then never use FTD again.
Reply:That is RIDICULOUS...you paid for flowers to be delivered on Mother's Day and they weren't-they should be free!!!!!!!! Please call the corporate headquarters to complain and demand the flowers be sent immediately and your money refunded to you. Tell them they made you look insensitive for not doing something for your mom on this special day. 20% off does not justify the fact they made a mistake-you are entitled to the flowers for free for them not sending them on the correct day. If they refuse to refund your money boycott the company and tell all your friends and family to as well.
Reply:20% is not enough! First of all, it was for Mother's Day....%26amp; Mother's Day has pasted. I personally think that sometimes these bigger companies take advantage of people. A few years ago I sent flowers %26amp; a balloon to someone for their birthday (from a small town local florist ) and the wrong item was sent. I called the florist %26amp; they apologized over %26amp; over %26amp; ended up not billing me for the order. I didn't expect that!
Reply:That's terrible! They should deliver the flowers at no charge!!! They are delivering 4 days late yet they got the order on time. If they told you it would be delivered on time then it was their mistake and should be free: especially something as special as Mother's Day!! You should complain to their head office.
Reply:I would keep asking for a larger discount.

The 20% would be ok if the flowers were delivered Monday...

But 4 days later? I would be sooo ticked! I would want at least 50% off...

Keep asking for a manager, and if you still arent satisfied, ask for the corporate office number.

Best of luck
Reply:um no!!!! thats outrageous, i would demand they be sent free due to their error or i would cancel and tell them their forgetfullness goes great with their companies name and reputation. u would like a refund they can FORGET ABOUT UR BUSINESS OR ANY REFERRALS%26gt; their error they should have made good to keep a satisfied customers.
Reply:LARGER DISCOUNT!!!!! yes the least 1/2 off. IT WAS MOTHERS DAY!
Reply:i would say they should be free there mistake

B'day cake and flower delivery in Rome? 30 gift ideas for husband's 30th b'day pls.?
Can you tell us anything about him? His interests, etc? As for a restaurant in Rome... it's best to ask the conceirge of your hotel - that is what they are there for. You can descibe what type of restaurant you want and they will make you a reaservation. I will tell you though that when my husband and I were in Rome, we just walked around and all of the restaurants we ended up at were amazing. Most of them are small and family owned and they all have their own wine made just for them. It is truly an amazing city. As for flowers and cake, also talk to the conceirge and they will arrange it. Just be aware though, most guys really don't care anything about flowers so keep that in mind. Maybe consider having a bottle of champagne or wine delivered to the room instead. The conceirge might have some other ideas as well.

Gift ideas:

New digital camera

memory cards or batteries for an existing digital camera

Couples massage

Dress shirt with french cuffs

Cufflinks for dress shirt - both of these would be good for your bday dinner out

favorite treat from the USA - never know how much you miss it until you can't get it, lol.

massage oil

you in lingerie

maybe get him something leather while in Rome, like a wallet or belt.

Maybe a watch to remember all the good times you have shared and will share in the future

What is the name of the light purple roses without thorns, and where can I buy them online?

I think there is a set of roses called "silver dusts" that are light purple and have no throns, but I am not sure of the name. Plus, I'd like to know of a flower delivery service online where I can purcjhase them and have them delivered.

I saw them in the movie "Bed of Roses" with Christian Slater.

10 points if you can tell me where I can order them to have them delivered.

What is the name of the light purple roses without thorns, and where can I buy them online?
They're called "Sterling Silver" roses. (That was a great movie, wasn't it?)

I'm really not sure those would be the type of flowers you could buy online easily - you'd probably have better luck calling your local florist and having them special order you some. Specifically, you could try a florist that specializes in doing special events and weddings. (One that is used to being asked to provide unusual flowers!)

A girlfriend of mine wanted some of those for her bridal bouquet, like BAD... and although she did eventually find a florist who could get her some, they were so hideously expensive, she could only afford to have a single one of them in the center of her bouquet.

So anyway, bottom line - probably won't be easy to find, definitely won't be cheap, but good luck, it will make an unforgettable gift!

How can I send flowers to random gay couples to congratulate them on their recent marriage in San Francisco?

I want to donate to a group that sends flowers to random gay couples as they wait in line to get married this weekend. I found the website Flowers for Al and Don (http://www.darrenbarefoot.com/flowers/me... but they don't seem to be operating with this latest supreme court ruling. They were in operation with the 2004 weddings. I can't find any info on the HRC website or PFLAG website. Does anyone know if there is a current organization that does the flower delivery? My next thought is that maybe I will just go to San Francisco myself and hand them out. But how could people across the country make this same gesture when they can't travel to San Francisco?

How can I send flowers to random gay couples to congratulate them on their recent marriage in San Francisco?
Do a Yahoo search for Flower Shops in San Francisco and give them a call.
Reply:That is such a sweet idea!

Why not find the same of a local flower shop in San Fran.... you can just go to www.yellowpages.com and do a simple search. Tell some shop employees what it is you want to do.... purchase several small bouquets and have them handed out to random couples on line at San Fran town hall.

I am sure you will find one more than willing to take your business! It would be great publicity for them!

Best of luck! =)
Reply:Wow, that is such a sweet gesture! I wish I'd thought of that.

I bet a call or two to some local florists in SF and you'd find someone willing to accommodate you.

Very cool.
Reply:you should contact GLAAD, they may know about the flower charity or want to start something similar themselves.
Reply:That sounds like a sweet gesture, but your link doesn't work, so I don't know anything about the program. How would that work without invading the couples' privacy?
Reply:Ahh Molly,

Im sorry I cant be of much help however I want to kiss you and hug you for such a nice gesture. We need more people like you in this world!
Reply:Get names from the Chronicle and wire the flowers to them through the newspaper.

Flowers not delivered by FTD on Valentine's Day?

A week ago I ordered flowers from a local FTD shop and on Feb.15 I get an email saying that "at this time we do not have a florist available in your recipient's delivery area who can deliver your product on 2/14." Can you believe that? She lives in the middle of MANHATTAN!! Don't tell me there are NO florists or deliveries in Manhattan!

This is just unacceptable, and on an occasion like this guys have to hang their head in shame because FTD could NOT do their job. This is the ONE day that makes FTD what it is...and they don't deliver.

I'm wondering how often does this happen where FTD can't deliver on Valentine's Day - let me know if you didn't get your FTD flower delivery, as scheduled, on Valentine's Day.

Flowers not delivered by FTD on Valentine's Day?
On Valentines Day, I learned a long time ago to contact the florist directly. When they price is given I include a good tip ahead of time. Remember that tip is To Insure Promptness. As for FTD make sure you stop payment with your credit card company. File a complaint if you can. Then to do damage control with your sweetheart, print out the email and give it to her with flowers that you bring her yourself. When she looks up from reading it, tell her that you were foolish to have trusted anyone else with a message from your heart.
Reply:that sucks. i live in florida and my boyfriend ordered me flowers and they STILL havent been delivered! I have to go pick them up myself NEVER going to have them ordered by FTD again!
Reply:I think what happens was as they were getting paid more fo the flowers in the days of valentines they cancelled the previous orders, and sold it for more.

Well you cant really do much now, you will get the money back or an apology but nothing more, how about you handpick some flowers, from garden, dont have to be roses or very nice, anything that is cute, make a bouquet type thing and give it to her now, she will appreciate it and love you more.
Reply:That's too bad. Please I live in NJ %26amp; FTD is worldwide. Hope your valentine forgave you.

Tipping/Flower delivery?

Settle a disagreement?

When someone sends a gift of flowers.....are you suppose to tip?

I orriginaly said no because if it is a "get well, birthday or a funeral" then it is a gift from the sender and if the person has to tip, it is no longer a gift.

My neighbor pointed out that it is still a service so I'm not to sure anymore.

Tipping/Flower delivery?
I CAN TALK FROM EXPERIENCE I did this for a living a few years ago for about 18 months and I can tell you 75% of the people tipped usually the houses you never expected one from the villas a mansions never ever not even once in 18 months
Reply:When it comes to tipping here's the rules I follow:

1. Tip if you want to.

2. Tip if you can afford to.

3. Tip if there was good service, for example waiter/waitress, valet, bell hops, etc.

4. Not everyone needs to be tipped. For example, flower deliverymen, garbage men, mail carriers, etc.

5. It's YOUR choice.
Reply:Are you talking about the person who delivers them?No you don't. It is more akin to a postal service, and you don't tip the postman, do you, imo
Reply:Sending flowers/ gifts is to make somebody's day.

However if the recipient has to tip the delivery guy (Which translates to a hassle for the recipient), what's the point of sending it via delivery guy? Might as well send it yourself if possible. More meaningful too.

However, if the tipper in question is the sender, it will be a nice gesture if you think the delivery guy has provided good service.
Reply:As with most things regarding tipping, it's the discretion of the person receiving the services. Some people do, some people don't. Personally, I've never tipped someone for flowers I've received, but I have tipped for flowers I've sent someone else.

I don't know any flower delivery persons (and I've talked with several) who expected tips. They get paid the standard minimum wage (or more) regardless of tips, unlike most waiters and waitresses.

What is the best way to advertise my online store on the web?

Flowers Delivery

What is the best way to advertise my online store on the web?
Build inbound links to your website.

Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:

http://www.avivadirectory.com/cgi-bin/af...

http://www.kahmer.com

http://www.joeant.com

The more inbound links to your site, the better you will rank

with Yahoo / Google / MSN.

Also work on your meta tags. Here is an

article on how they work: http://www.richkahmer.com/meta-tags.html
Reply:I use these to get lots of visitors to my web sites

http://xbratx99.livejournal.com/11988.ht...

Good Luck!
Reply:This of course depends on your budget. Yahoo will list you local business for free.

The best way to get links back to you, and yes this does take some time, is to post to blogs and make yourself known as a knowledgeable person. Maybe you can find blogs about wedding ideas, flower arranging etc... be sure and use your knowledge to advise, do not just post "this is a nice blog please visit my site" because most bloggers can delete you and will if you don't contribute something. Not to mention will send you the worst of "vibes".

You can "pay for clicks" , works for some not others.. try Google first they don't hold your money. Yahoo for instance takes money out of your bank account without notice, and they always have some of your money they haven't spent, like the IRS does. Google also has a new free checkout program.

Hiring a pro can be expensive, but if you can afford it I'd check with the Better Business Burea before I hired anyone to see if they have complaints filed, better yet get a member. I can't advise whether or not you need one because I have not seen your site.

The most important and most forgotten thing about having a web site is to make them informative and interesting, people will buy from you if they see you have knowledge and a passion for what you do. I have had my web site almost 10 years and it sticks in top rankings because people visit it to learn and pass the link on.

Reply:Hi, what you need is relevant links. It may be either one way free links or reciprocal links. But the links must be relevant. Try to get as many oneway relevant links as possible.

Link building is an art, it cannot be done over night. It takes time, over a period of time only you can accumulate relevant links for the site. If you can continusly acquiring links over a period of time you can accumulate a good no. of links for yr site.

You can contact me if you need any assistance at sreeseshan@yahoo.com.

One of our companies specialities is search engine optimisation. The person who said build inbound links is right on the money - that is a major factor. However, having said that, it can take a while for the benefit of inbound links to be passed on- particularly by Google. They also like things to be a bit natural. If go crazy contacting people and get a 100 links in one week, you won't get full benefit as they like the process to look natural.

There are other things you can do as well. In my business, we offer a twelve month managed search engine marketing and optimisation campaign, whereby we basically act as your agent for twelve months and in conjunction with you market your site on the web. This includes organic search engine optimisation, useabilty and effectiveness assessment of your site, copywriting, and even graphics and whether your site is well designed. What is included will very from client to client. Do you already have a site? If so, I can prepare a free proposal based on your site, giving you some general ideas of what we can do and a quote. If you don't have a site yet, we can give you a quote on building it with effective marketing in mind as well as a 12 month marketing programme.

This includes delivery truck and shipping truck in/out of residence.

Is it illegal to grow and sell flowers out of your home?
Probably not. Check with your local municipality. I have this mental image of the local flower police lurking around the corners trying to nab people with black market roses.

have fun!
Reply:No, I don't think so. As long as you have a business license and pay your taxes, it's not illegal.

How should I deal with dishonest online customers ?

t's only been months since I put up my cut flower delivery business. I made some modest profits on it. But lately, a number of customers claimed they didn't receive their ordered goods .But my records show the proper receipts they signed for the delivery. It's dishonesty, plain and simple. They contested the delivery from their credit card company and subsequently cancel all payments towards my account.

How should I deal with this form of dishonest act?

How should I deal with dishonest online customers ?
Are you responding to the disputes and are they through the credit card processor, directly? if you're dealing with a third party, that makes things tough.

if you're dealing with the credit card processor directly, find out what they require to secure a transaction from being reversed and make sure you have it for every sale. I'm also not above lying when dealing with liars. I handled disputes for a small business, and what the bank requested as proof, the bank GOT- whether or not we actually had it.

Most people who are lying to start out with won't fight the dispute further if they lose. After all, they know they are in the wrong.
Reply:sue them. if they signed for them. then you would win.

What is it like to be an undertaker for profession?

I had a job as a flower delivery. I was send to a funeral home, to deliver flowers. I asked them where I could leave the flowers, and they told me to put it in the cooler and pointed to some big metal doors. I was so scared to find dead bodies in there that I left the flowers in the hall way and toke off. I still can hear them laugh at me.

What is it like to be an undertaker for profession?
It's a chosen profession like anything else. Some are cut out for it and some aren't. I feel so sorry for you that they pulled that cruel joke on you. We would never do that to an outsider. We all had a sense of humor (you have to), but we were also very compassionate, hard working people. It wasn't originally my chosen field, and my parents thought I was crazy, but I've never regretted doing it for 17 yrs. At first it was 'fear of the unknown', but after adjusting, it was an amazing profession. Next time you go (preferably to another funeral home) ;) ask for a tour. It's much better to be familiar with one before you actually need one. They won't subject you to 'creepy' things.

Downside...making funeral arrangements for babies and children :(
Reply:You would get used to it just as they did most likely. I did know a guy who got out of the business because it got to him after a number of years though.
Reply:Well, there is the midnight shift, the long hours, darkness, weird noises, back breaking shoveling, the smell, ghosts, restless spirits, sleepless days, and the worst part-the ones that wake up. Apart from that, the pay is good, they give you the uniforms (black suits) we have a nice big ride with a lot of space for speakers, we get free flowers for our significant others, and free shoes.

Tipping question...........Is it proper to tip delivery people that deliver gift baskets and or flowers to you

when you are on vacation , or otherwise ?

Tipping question...........Is it proper to tip delivery people that deliver gift baskets and or flowers to you
I would say yes, if you have a few dollars on you. Since most gift baskets and flowers are usually a surprise, I've been caught several times without cash, when the flowers were delivered. It's a little embarrassing, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person this has happened to, so I'm also pretty sure the delivery person doesn't expect a tip from every basket or bouquet they deliver.
Reply:most definitely. anyone in hospitality or delivery should be compensated for their work in a tip!
Reply:Yes! Give them a couple dollars! Poor things!
Reply:Absolutely.!!

The delivery folks are not well paid. A bit of extra would be welcome, I am sure!
Reply:At least offer it. Some are not allowed to accept it, and others have the tip taken care of in the purchase price. (It'll be up to the delivery person whether or not to accept it.)
Reply:Yes I think that it is expected to tip them. Their salaries are small taking into consideration that they would be tipped.

Is it OK to have mothers day flowers delivered on Saturday?

I want to get my girlfriend's mother flowers for mothers day, and I was just wondering if it is poor ettiquette to have them delivered the Saturday before. I know they have big plans all day on Sunday so I wanted to be sure she got them on time, and also web site florists say they can't guarantee delivery on that date.

Is it OK to have mothers day flowers delivered on Saturday?
Most Mother's Day flowers are delivered the Friday or Saturday before. Mom won't care- she will be very happy to be remembered. Follow up with a phone call or visit on Sunday.
Reply:From what I have heard, most flowers will be delivered on Saturday, anyway. At least, that is custom here in FL.

I think it is a beautiful idea of yours, to think of your girl-friends mother! And my bet is, she want even waste a thought about, that it is one day early.

However, if you happen to see her in person on Mother's Day, do give the flowers to her in person.
Reply:It is absoltuely okay to have flowers delivered the Saturday before. Flowers for Mother's Day, even Valentines Day are delivered quite a few days early prior to the actual day. The fact you recognize the day is thoughtful, not the day it comes.
Reply:Yes, of course! Save on the shipping charges, and there are many delivery services that don't deliver anything on Sundays - I'm having my mom's stuff delivered today!
Reply:Absolutely not.

Etiquette doesn't work that way.

All gifts are unexpected.

An early gift is always a welcome surprise.
Reply:Flowers or gifts can be delivered anytime up to the actual celebration just not after.
Reply:It's fine. Most florists don't deliver on Sunday anyway
Reply:no problem at all. as you said you wanted to make sure she got them. your gf's mother will appreciate the gesture.
Reply:Sure, she can enjoy them for an extra day on the weekend.
Reply:yep...better than monday.
Reply:got mine today

Cheap flowers in Brazil?

I would like to send flowers to a girl on Valentines day, but I am a poor student. Does anyone know of an affordable flower delivery service that could deliver to Recife?

Thank you!

Cheap flowers in Brazil?
Where are you from?

If you are not Brazilian, I guess you would find a nice flower deliver, but they probably won't take you credit card here. I do not know the reason, but most places here 'don't take credit card issued abroad.

I want to send flowers to a girl?

I'm planning to send flowers to this great girl who went to prom with me last year, but this is my first time sending flowers a girl. So I need some help. Here is the list of questions.

1) Should I use a florist company on the internet, such as FTD.com, or local flower delivery shops? I live far away from her now, and I don't know the details about local florists near her house. Can I trust FTD.com?

2) Should I send a bouquet without a vase or with a vase? You only send flowers in a vase to people who are sick, am I correct? Which form do you expect flowers to come in when your partner send you flowers?

3) I want to give her a card with personalized message with the flowers. Can I do that?

If you have any experience of sending flowers or receiving flowers, please post me some answers. They will be greatly appreciated. I always give 5 stars to best answer and I will give two thumbs up after choosing it! Thank you!

I want to send flowers to a girl?
FTD is a respectable company and they have lovely arrangements you can choose from on their website. That said, I prefer to use local florists because they are very helpful. When I sent my mom flowers on her birthday I was able to have an arrangement that had her favorite flowers and colors in it. As for your other questions send them in a vase, it is always much nicer to be able to view the flowers then to have to cut the stems and arrange them yourself. And either way you send them you can add a personalized message. Good luck.
Reply:Oops. My other account has not reached level 2 to give a thumb up. sorry about that. Report It

Reply:If you haven't ordered from Martha Stewart Flowers then you should. They have a vast variety and arrangements starting at $29.99. Unlike most floral websites, Martha Stewart Flowers provides beautiful fresh-cut flowers. Report It

Reply:Why are you sending girls flowers? When you went to the prom with this girl, you probably ended up paying for all kinds of things, so you owe her nothing. What is it that you hope to accomplish by sending her flowers?
Reply:I used 1-800-flowers.com. They do a really great job with flowers and other things as well, like teddy bears, etc. And you get to put your own personal greeting. I would think flowers with a vase would be best, they always pick out a great one to match the flowers. Good luck hun!
Reply:Obviously you really like this girl a lot. It's so cute that you want to send her flowers. I know that girls love flowers from my own experience. I am a girl!! Well if it were me you were sending the flowers to, I would just buy some. I'm not a particular girl, %26amp; i would love to have a guy send me flowers. I'm sure she'll be happy with whatever you choose to do.

Good luck

I have received flowers from them many times, and they are beautiful and long lasting. They're sent straight from the field, and are cut less than 24 hours before you receive them. They have a wide variety of anniversary flowers that are less than $100. You can also include a personalized card. My favorite part is that they come with instructions on how to care for the flowers to make them last as long as possible. For someone like me who can kill any kind of plant, instructions are the best.

How to preserve fresh flowers for a long time.?

I wana send fresh flowers as gift to my beloved and it would take around 6 days for the delivery. I want to know in details how to pack the flowers and keep it fresh for her to receive with joy and fervour as it is her birthday.

How to preserve fresh flowers for a long time.?
Forget it.... they won't last. You'd be much better off contacting a florist that has FTD... they will make sure she gets her flowers fresh.... You can call any FTD florist in your area and they will contact another FTD florist near where your beloved is and they will deliver the flowers fresh.

Here's a link... you can even order online

http://www.ftd.com/528/
Reply:The Redesign Diva is RIGHT ON POINT. I sent flowers this way while overseas. Also, to family and friends that live in other states. This way is WAY better than trying to send flowers through the mail. As hot as it is, and we are talking six days!!!......anything you do to preserve them might be in vain, and also add to shipping weight/cost. It is not written that all the mail/package processing locations in route will be cool or condusive to preserving flowers. On top of that, I don't think I have seen a refrigerated USPS, UPS, DHL, or FedEx truck.

There is another option, besides FTD, there is Teleflora, just to give you a couple to choose from. Personally, I have had better results with FTD. You can even provide the words you want on the attached card, as well as add other things like balloons, etc. You have the option to 'do it up', or just keep it simple. Your beloved should feel special and loved getting flowers delivered. The mail man comes 6 days a week. LOL

GOOD LUCK, and hope this helps.

Secret admirer! Annonymus ways to send her flowers...?
this could be super sweet or super creepy....do you actually KNOW this girl well? Do you know for sure she is single? You really shouldn't send flowers to someone who isn't actually available - you could cause someone you care about a lot of harm.

If you know her, and you know she is single - go to a florist, don't go online (online can be tracked) pay cash and request no card.
Reply:Send themtoher work...aslong as she doesn't work in mc'ds oranywhere like that!

Reply:In many states of the US, sending an annonymous gift could be considered as stalking. It all depends on how the recipient would perceive that gift, which is unpredictable. Because of that, and of course in a litigation-happy country like US, some (but not all) florists would simply refuse to deliver flowers annoymously. I don't know the situation in UK.

I want to send my wife some flowers to work what would you ladies prefer?
yeh would love flowers sent to my work, obviously from my hubby not your lovely self. Just pick what you think looks really nice yourself, I would say 30 quid is a reasonable price for a decent bouquet. I prefer the ones in the vase as at least they will keep till she gets them home. I got a lovely bunch in a vase when I was in hospital having my babies and they were really nicely arranged. Good luck and enjoy your night out.
Reply:A note to "Felicity O" I know she loves lilies but our daughter got her some lillies so did not want to go cliche and get red roses and her to think I had asked somebody else to get them or taken the easy option so I asked for opinions I think 25 years is Special Report It

Reply:An orchid bouquets is the best.
Reply:Just pick some nice flowers she will love anything from you
Reply:How long have you been married? Diamond rings and holidays in Sorrento, yet you still don't know what flowers she prefers?

If you ask me, it's going to take more than flowers. Forget the credit card. It sounds like time for a heartfelt hug and a few sweet words whispered in her ear.
Reply:definately the ALLURE bouquet, it's lovely. Are u 4 real? You are very thoughtful n romantic. You must love ur wife very much.
Reply:everyone prefers different things. do you know her faves yet? if you dont, go by her fave colour
Reply:Get her some pink roses. They say romance and she would expect the red ones.
Reply:A Triffid!!
Reply:send her all your bank balance!
Reply:Personally, if she is not so good with arrangements, perhaps try a small but lovely potted plant. They last MUCH longer than cut flowers and will be a constant reminder of your thoughtfulness! Just think of it this way - a cut arrangement says "I love you enough to cut up some blossoms for you". A plant that will renew year after year says "My love for you is eternal and will continue to blossom for you." ;) Just a few thoughts from a romantic!! Good luck.

Here are a couple of nice ones in your price range just from the site you listed (WITH shipping):

Orchid - 31.75

Calathea - 28.75

Rosy Apricot mini roses - 25.75
Reply:I'd personally go for a nice big boquet, so i have to run around the office looking for a vase and show off a little bit!

Roses are SOOOO cliched, go for something exotic like orchids or lillies.
Reply:I agree, go for something a bit dfferent which suits her decor/personality. My ex always got me yellow roses - gorgeous, because they were a bit different and very personal.
Reply:flippin eck all i get is a kick in the knickers. ummmmmmmm thats not exactly true. However i have seen Next flowers and they are lovely. Women who like diamonds
Reply:No roses, they're just overpriced and overused. My favorite bouquet is always just brightly colored seasonal flowers. And your budget is about what I spend when I get flowers for my husband.

Otherwise, if you give roses, every single anniversary she'll know she'll be getting the same old roses again.

I never know what to expect when flowers arrive for me!
Reply:NEVER GET THEM FROM NEXT !!!!!!!! We have literally spent hundreds of pounds with them on flowers, and they're lousy - they die too soon and they have a poor vase design and don't always hold the flowers well whatsoever.
Reply:I think the ones in the vase are pretty - the £30.00 ones that are the long stemed ones is what I assume you are buying - I think your wife will LOVE them - I would. Have a lovely anniversary xx
Reply:a dozen red roses
Reply:Anyday, i would go for Lilies....they smell ever sooooo gorgeous!
Reply:Boy where are there more men like you? Just getting flowers at work is great. If you can afford them choose Roses. Tell the florist to fill in with Baby's Breath in a nice vase.
Reply:Are you a real person? I didnt think that men like you existed. Your wife is a very lucky woman. Lilys are nice but their pollen does stain, roses may be seen as old fashoined by some, but when you think of a flower to show that you love someone, its normally roses that come to mind.
Reply:send her favourite flower or flowers in her favourite colour

Red Roses are traditional for wedding anniversary, one for each year you have been married shows extra thought,

or a single rose, with a helium ballon, to which the dinner invitation is attached is slightly different, then the main arrangement you could have delivered to the house, in a colour scheme to match the living room or bedroom depending on where she usually puts flowers

sounds like she is a lucky girl!
Reply:It doesn't matter, if someone sent me a daisy I'd love it. It's the thought that really does count. Lucky lady.
Reply:Seasonal flowers are the cheapest.

Do you not have any idea what flowers your wife likes?

Or maybe she has mentioned flowers that she does not like.

Lilies remind me of funerals.

Any flowers are good. It is the thought that counts after all
Reply:my bf from time to time sends me flowers.. (its been awhile since he has mind you)

and i loved the last time he sent them to me at work.. :) its always nice..

he usually gets me a nice variety of different kinds.. with different colours.. :)

so i'd get a nice variety.. :) and with a vase.. that way they will keep while she's at work more easier.. its not like she has a vase waiting :)
Reply:wow, what a thoughtful guy you are...........
Reply:I think these are nice.

http://www.nextflowers.co.uk/item.asp
Reply:That sounds nice..The BLISS one looks great...
Reply:I guess most women would prefer red roses-the flower of love. I'd prefer white/pink carnations, as they last so much longer.
Reply:Would you like a second wife to pamper. Seriously what a nice idea, I am sure she knows you love her whatever you send. Have a nice meal. xx
Reply:yes that would be wonderful so people can see what a nice husband she has
Reply:Say it with flowers.....buy her a triffid

Can you send flowers to your girl the day before valentines day?

Im wondering if it is ok to send flowers to my girl the day before valentines day the ensure that she actually gets the. I fear she may leave work early on valentines day and if they are a late delivery she may never get to enjoy them. Ladies, how do you feel about getting flowers the day before valentines day? Is this acceptable?

Can you send flowers to your girl the day before valentines day?
If I were to get flowers the day before valentines day I would love them just as much as if they were on valentines day...If you are planning anything else, such as a dinner, then that should wait until the 14th, but the flowers the day before will be fine!

Just to add to it

I think that getting the flowers the day before will make it even more special, since she may be the only one to get flowers sent to her office on the 13th. So not only is she getting flowers from you, but she is also the center of attention!
Reply:Go for something original - every other man on the face of the earth is buying flowers and chocolate - show your woman you're different by going for something completely original and unique to her taste
Reply:I don't see why not. And women like to receive flowers at work. Go for it!
Reply:Yes of course, it's very sweet.

You can send flowers oline free http://valentineday.dmfree.net/ .Send to her flowers and also you can win a $100 Hallmark gift card. Sooo, something for her and maybe something for you.
Reply:I'd just be glad to be getting flowers. It's nice that you thought about her.
Reply:Ok, after reading everyone elses answers I'm going to be the "bad guy" I was awoken this morning from a knock at my door. It was the flower guy. I got my Valentines day flowers 4 days early and I'm on fire. I think this just might be the straw that breaks the camels back. Take it from me, I'm being honest, my girlfriends and I have been talking about it all week amongst ourselves... IT IS NEVER OKAY TO SEND FLOWERS EARLY. NEVER, EVER, EVER. Trust me. Please. We all know its WAY cheaper to have them delivered the day before and no matter what excuse your using, we'll all think deep down inside, your trying to save a few bucks. I dont even want these flowers. I want to open my window and throw them out. I'm embarrassed by them. I'm actually on here trying to find an article about how its NOT okay to send flowers early. Maybe its just something us women talk about amongst ourselves, but none of us WANT Valentines day flowers on any day OTHER THAN Valentines day. Dont do it. I've been with my boyfriend for almost 5 years and we dont have the best relationship. This whole flower incident just made me dislike him that much more. Maybe your in a new relationship and everyone's on their best behavior and lovey dovey and thats cool. But after a few years, sending flowers a day or two early WILL NOT FLY!!! Dont do it guys... Wednesday is NOT valentines day. Its just any other day... DO NOT DO IT!!!
Reply:Well usually, the florist will ask for a specific time you want them delivered. So have the florist deliver the flowers during the time she will be at work. I think, sending flowers is a good idea. Giving red roses is the norm so I would suggest having a different arrangement done. Like orchids or whatever her favorite flower is.

What's the name of an Old Movie w/ a Naked Serial Killer knocking on a door acting like a Flower Delivery guy?

I remember many years ago watching a movie but I don't know what it is. All I can remember is a naked serial killer (man) knocking on an apartment door holding flowers up real close to the peep hole stating he was a Flower Delivery Person. He killed the young woman in the apartment. For some reason I always thought it had Charles Bronson in it (maybe one of the Death Wish films) but I asked my Mom, who loves Bronson flicks and she can't seem to recall any of the Death Wishes with a naked guy in it. Thanks for taking the time to read/answer this. (I was probably around ten years old at the time and I am now 34...if that helps).

What's the name of an Old Movie w/ a Naked Serial Killer knocking on a door acting like a Flower Delivery guy?
Charles Bronson in 10 to Midnight. I think the killer was Andrew Stevens.

Cake and flower delivery?

I'm having an outdoor ceremony at 5:00pm and reception following....any ideas of what time I should have the cake and flowers delivered?

Cake and flower delivery?
Cake delivery should take place by 4pm while your caterer is there to help coordinate where placement should be. It should arrive earlier if the cake needs to be put together or finishing touched done on location.

Flowers should be delivered in the late morning/early afternoon. This way the staff has time to set flowers for the ceremony %26amp; get bouquets and the like to the bridal party. Then flowers for the reception can be put in a cool place until the catering staff is ready to set the tables. All flowers should be out no later than 4pm for the ceremony %26amp; 4:30 for the reception.
Reply:Cake 2pm that way even if they're late you still have enough time to set things up. Flowers if they have alot do set up then morning is better.
Reply:When are the guests due to arrive? Around 4:30?

I would have the flowers there around 3:30 and the cake, depending on the weather, delivered around 4:30. You're going to want to put some to work on putting it together and keeping it cool. Also, do you have a wedding coordinator or anyone who can keep things in order for you?
Reply:id say cake maybe 4:30, flowers 4. you dont want anything to melt or wilt... but you also want some wiggle room if the company is a little late. lots of prep time=happy wedding

congrats too, btw :o)
Reply:If the ceremony begins at 5, then guests will probably start getting there around 430 ... you will need the flowers for pictures which would probably be around 230 or so. Your location should have a place to keep the cake so it doesn't have to sit outside. If they cake gets there at 330 that would be perfect. The location will probably need an hour or so to set up so you need to make sure everything is there for them when they begin.
Reply:couple hours before hand just put the cake in a cool place till its needed and for the flowers keep cool also until needed
Reply:Depending on the amount of flowers I would go any sooner than an hour before your ceremony or they can wilt, I would maybe even wait on the cake up unitl 15 minutes before so the icing don't melt.
Reply:LOL. It has been my experience that the vendors tell you what time they can deliver. They may ask when your venue will be available or open to them, but they usually have their own timetable going (and other customers waiting for their services).

I would ask . . . not tell them. For example, "My wedding venue is available to us at 3:00 pm. The wedding starts at 5. What time will you be able to deliver the cake?"

Always be very nice and very polite to your vendors, LOL.

Good luck to you. Hope you have a beautiful wedding.
Reply:About 1:00....so you can be prepared in case something goes wrong, but keep both cake and flowers in a cool place, ask the people who you buy the from this question.
Reply:If it's still hot then I wouldn't have the cake delivered too early or the icing might melt. Can you see the reception area from where the cermony will be held? I'd have the cake delivered as close to the last minute as possible. Maybe 4:15 - 4:30. Talk to your cake decorator and see what she thinks. I used to decorate cakes but I don't really know about flowers. All I can recommend is to talk to your florist.
Reply:you probably shouldn't have the cake delivered until like 7 or 8 so that it doesn't melt sitting outside for hours before you make it. the table can be set up and decorated and the cake can be brought in while everyone is eating dinner.
Reply:Flowers and cake at 4:00
Reply:I say cake at 3:00 and flowers at 2:00. Only because if something is wrong or you are missing a flower piece, it can be corrected in time and you won't have to stress out that you are missing a bridesmaid bouquet or your groom's flower. Plus, you always want to tell vendors earlier than you need so if they get stuck in traffic or something.

Make sure you can keep the cake and flowers refrigerated.

Unless you got a fondant cake - then you don't need to keep it cold.

Good luck !
Reply:If you are getting it delivered have it earlier while you are having your ceremony, just in case a lot of stuff could happen so its better to be safe than sorry. have one of your relatives pick up the flowers. .
Reply:Are you getting pics taken before the wedding? I would say between 2-3 for the flowers and the cake around 4 (so that the icing doesn't melt/sag in the heat).
Reply:an hour before starting

Tip the flower delivery man?

how many of u have ever tipped the flower delivery man? how much?

Tip the flower delivery man?
No. It's not the normal practice.
Reply:Check any etiquette web site. All say $2 to $5. Trust me, they don't make enough in their hourly wage. Most of us won't miss those couple of dollars, but it makes all the difference in the world to the person depending on those tips to pay the bills and put food on the table. Report It

Reply:Yes. You HAVE to tip the florist delivery man. I'm a teen and worked in a florist for 2 years and got paid $5 per hour. We walk to deliver (30 minutes at times) and I really get upset when people don't even tip. You should tip at least a dollar at least. Report It

Reply:Always tip people. I'd say a dollar or two for deliveries, five dollars for Bell service and 15 per cent for those restaurants.
Reply:Man do I have to tip the UPS delivery driver too? What about the mailman? Come on this stuff is getting ridiculous...
Reply:No, I don't tip the flower delivery man. I didn't order the flowers, I didn't know they were coming. Most flower shops charge at least $5 for a delivery fee, so I'm sure the delivery driver is paid at least minimum wage plus mileage.
Reply:Oh god tipping is getting just ridiculous. I mean, do we have to tip every person that does anything for us (even if that's their job!!) Isn't that what they are getting paid for??? No i do not tip the flower guy.

Which flower delivery services to use for delivery in London?? Arenaflowers? iFlorist?

Hi, I need to send flowers to my gf in London but I'll put the order from abroad, could you advice me which service to use so that I can be sure the flowers will be fresh and will be delivered without a problem. Thanks

Which flower delivery services to use for delivery in London?? Arenaflowers? iFlorist?
Arena flowers is a really good service, I use them all the time and couldn't recommend them more highly - and the flowers are wonderful and the customer service is excellent! Really speedy service too.

They also do Fair trade (ethical) flowers, which for me is a complete selling point.

Do you know of a reputable flower delivery service in Thailand?

I had a really negative experience recently with both Chang Florist %26amp; Siam Florist and I'm hoping to find a good delivery service for the future.

I ordered a very cute teddy bear for my GF in Thailand (and what I thought was a high-quality product based on the photo), but what was delivered to her on Valentine's Day was an obvious, cheap inferior product. I used Chang Florist for this order. I contacted Chang Florist, but they ignored my emails. And I ended up paying $50 for about a $2 teddy bear.

Previously, I had used Siam Florist to deliver flowers to her, but they recently tried to price gouge me by doubling the price of the order without my authorization. What I mean is that I ordered flowers for $42.95, but they charged my credit card $86.95 without my acknowledgement! I complained, of course, and got the charge reveresed, but I was left with the impression that they are not a reputable company to use.

Has anyone used a American company perhaps that operates in Thailand?

I've never used the service but heard of it for a long time on TV commercial.

If I get flowers delivered from a love interest do I tip the delivery person?

I'd say no. Do you tip the UPS guy? Usually tipping is for those service-industry jobs that pay under min. wage, and the tips make up an actual part of their salary. The gratuity police won't arrest you for tipping the delivery guy, if you feel the need to, but I don't think it's expected. If you want to be completely sure, call the florist, ask to speak to the manager or owner and ask them.

If I get flowers delivered from a love interest do I tip the delivery person?
You can if u want. I don't think u have to.
Reply:no
Reply:yes...tip..even if a couple dollars
Reply:Your love interest would have taken care of that part. just be sure to show gratitude, and enjoy the treatment.

Does anyone know of a website that delivers flowers to Romania and the Czech Republic for a reasonable price?

It's okay if they're 2 different websites. It seems like I have to spend around $50 or more, just on the flowers alone, not even with a box of chocolate or delivery fees. I want to spend a maximum of $50/each including taxes, a small box of chocolate and delivery fees. If you know of any sites, would you please let me know?

Does anyone know of a website that delivers flowers to Romania and the Czech Republic for a reasonable price?
http://eshop.kvetiny-online.cz/ try this web site. You can pay online, they will deliver anywhere in CR and the prices are very resonable {23 CZK = 1 USD}, so all the flower are around $ 30. The only problem is that the website is in Czech, but try to email them, maybe somebody speaks english in there info@kvetiny-online.com or ICQ messanger 218196086. And I found this one, too, it is in English but little more expensive {but still resonable} http://www.laflorista.cz/index.php?sel_l...
Reply:I think you're best off looking for a florist in Prague and Bucharest to make it cheaper. Something like FTD would probably cost more because it's a network.

Which cut flowers do you like to receive in a bouquet delivery?

lilies or anything exotic

roses are so common now, you can pick them up in a convenience store

Which cut flowers do you like to receive in a bouquet delivery?
White Orchids ... Yellow Roses .. Red Tulips
Reply:Roses..............:)
Reply:Iris
Reply:u mean cute...

its red roses ol the way!
Reply:Star-gazers.

They are beautiful and have a very nice scent.
Reply:I am usually on the giving end of things. When I give cut flowers to someone that I care about, I usually give them the type of flower that they like best. Example:

The girl I am currently hanging out with likes carnations and daisies. I wouldn't give her roses, because she isn't really into them that much.

If you are not sure what their favorite flower is, then I would recommend a boquet of wild flowers. They are bright and cheerful.
Reply:A big box of roses. But if I could pick, I would rather have a shrub to plant in my rose garden. That way I can enjoy it all season long and look foreword to it again next year!
Reply:When broke up with SJ, I send her 2 dozen black roes
Reply:roses, all different color roses
Reply:Tulips
Reply:Red Roses
Reply:I like many flowers so I would want a combination. Tulips, roses, gardinias, lilies, forget me nots, morning glory, practically anything but ragweed.
Reply:I like all sorts of flowers, so for me its the thought that counts, someone actually took the time to send me flowers. I really don't care what the send me.
Reply:I like Daisies, they are pretty and cheerful, and they last a long time. I also like Carnations because they are nice cut flowers, maybe some red or pink Carnations with some Baby's Breath added in. In the spring I like Iris or Daffodils, but I think Carnations last much longer than Roses usually and they are very pretty and come in a variety of colors.
Reply:Lillies
Reply:Daisies, No babys breath
Reply:roses are best delivered

also like calla lily, iris, gladiolas
Reply:Lilies are my favorite. Roses are pretty, but don't last long.

What is your favorite?
Reply:Orchids.
Reply:Lillies, cala or stargazer...so pretty.
Reply:Lillies and tropical flowers

I own a 3 employee flower delivery shop. r there any IT recommendations?

We are looking to upgrade an old system. We need to store client information and order histories, we would also like to bill clients electronically. We would also like our delivery driver to have a way to keep track of customer's addresses and specific delivery instructions

I would suggest purchasing a new computer through Dell, something basic that will allow you to do the basic functions of a business.

In addition to that I would suggest purchasing The MS Office 2007 Suite, and you will be able to do all of your word processing and marketing with that software.

Finally, I would suggest QuickBooks Pro, as it is very user friendly, and you can track orders, and do all kinds of necessary transaction information on it. Its a great program, and if you need to hire someone in your area to help you set it up you can for a nominal fee

Good Luck with your endeavor!
