How do I get my wife to forgive me? I sent a card and flowers to another woman, and she caught me?

cheaping out. I had my brother deliver my birthday present to my mother because he was going over there anyway. She says it's more fun to get it from a delivery guy? Is this true? Geez, I thought saving $40 was a good thing.

How do I get my wife to forgive me? I sent a card and flowers to another woman, and she caught me?
Cheap out on MOM????!!!! Thats like farting in church...it's just not done....loser of the week award goes to SF. Try again next week.
Reply:No, your are very cheap
Reply:I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. It seems like you have 2 questions. But if you want your wife to forgive you, just be patient with her and try to show you're sorry. When it comes to gifts though it's supposed to be the thought that counts!
Reply:Believe me .............IT is more fun getting it from a delivery boy!
Reply:yal it is bad to be caught in something like this. what can you do , but stay off that computer now because she will really watch you like a hawk now! stay away from all that an you won't be tempted....
Reply:WIFE'S RIGHT AGAIN..........
Reply:OK OK, Im gonna go along with this one and say, "why didnt you deliver them yourself"???
Reply:Well, it adds to the ambiance but it's the thought that counts.
Reply:Its a lot more fun to get it from a delivery person it just makes you feel special and it shows not only your family and friends that come over and see it but also a complete stranger that you are loved. If you want your wife to forgive you surprise with a card on her side of the bed or something little and sweet like that. She'll get over it after all you did save $40. Just dont do it again ;)
Reply:Yes it is. It makes you feel more important.
Reply:if it was your mother she should understand.
Reply:Not a good situation, so I don't think there is a way out of this.
Reply:LOL This is way funny.
Reply:lol

Another good one. Better than the last one!

lol....and yeah, it's better to get it from the delivery guy.
Reply:Goodness sakes, your wife should strike you...

as the type to want her husband to be considerate! Everyone knows that females like money spent on them.
Reply:You should have used that $40 you saved to buy your wife something.
Reply:ok I don't get it? you want your wife to forgive you for you buying your mom a gift?
Reply:Look don't panic!! just sit down take a few deep breaths and stay where you are until you can come up with a great Lie! lol

Ps; Maybe the delivery guy can help you !
Reply:Are you stupid?? You sent flowers to another women???? Do you not want to be with your wife? I don't blame you r wife for not forgiving you..how can she trust you, why does she think you wont do something like this again or worse?? yeah your cheap you should of sent your mom's gift to her..sometimes it's more about the thought than it is the present, but oyu should of made it specila since it was her birthday
Reply:Your mom wants sausage, man....
Reply:LOL, some people need to go back and re-read the question.

And your wife is right. There are just some people you don't go cheap on 1. Your wife 2. Your mother. If you ever think about going the cheap route on either again just remeber they have the ability to make you regret it.
Reply:a delivery for your MOTHER should always come from a delivery man---this is your MOTHER u are dealing with

show some respect
Reply:you just got burned well it is going to be hard to get her to forgive you so is your job to think about something if she is to proud of herself she won't forgive you
Reply:i understand your first part of your question but the second half which one u want answered
Reply:LOL, your wife is right or better yet if you were able you should have delivered them yourself. To get your wife to forgive you send HER flowers via a delivery guy and then take her out for a nice dinner for 2
Reply:first of all it takes time to rebuild the trust, you have to rebuild it, i suggest you start off being completely honest about what you did and why. then end the relationship with the other woman. if you have a cell phone either shut it down or have number changed and unlisted so you can not be contacted by her again. u by your conduct have suggested to her that you are no longer committed to the relationship. and that is putting questions an doublt into her mind. be calm about the whole situation, and try to rebuild the trust

How much money do you think...?

...the greeting card and flower delivery industries will make off of today (Valentine's Day)...?

How much money do you think...?
Not sure how much money they'll end up making, but I do know that a dozen roses any other day of the year would only be about 30 bucks, but today they're 70 or 80. It's ridiculous.
Reply:easily making millions

delivery fees in my area are over $10 bucks with a minimum order of $25.00 - that's why I don't get caught up in this hoopla
Reply:Millions, when all it really takes is simple gestures of love to show your lover how you really feel...xxx

btw,did you get your card!?*wink*
Reply:Tons Of money I can't even imagine they have to make up for the rest of the year they lost out on.I know they is Loving this day At least for the money part.

Could someone help me with this business scenario?

Sarah’s Flower Designs is looking to upgrade its computer system (an older model PC) to help keep up with the growing demand of their customers. They would like to house their client information and order histories on their new system, as well as bill their customers electronically. They also want Kim to have a way to keep track of customer addresses and specific delivery instructions while she is on the road. What IT recommendations would you make for Sarah’s Flower Designs?

Could someone help me with this business scenario?

Poll for married moms on valentines day?

what would you rather get for valentines day?

combo a: knock at the door with a gorgeous flower delivery and when hubby gets home he has chocolates and a piece of jewelry.

or combo b:

a nice dinner out with and hubby making every romatic gesture to romance you in bed

or C: a knock at the door and merry maids standing there with a gift basket of bubble bath a book and a bottle of wine and only one glass all done by hubby to give you a day of relaxing while maids clean the house

Poll for married moms on valentines day?
This is tough, but, I pick combo b because I'd like to spend private time with hubby.
Reply:Depends on how long you have been married.

I personally would like B, with the kids cleaning the house for once and then leaving for a movie.

Hope this helps

What would you like on vacation?

I live in a vacation area. I want to start a business selling the services of other small business in the area. If you were on vacation staying in a beautiful cabin, what services would you want or need? Here's what I've come up with so far.. sending a massage therapist for an in cabin massage, delivering flowers or gift baskets, delivering restaurant or home cooked meals, someone to carry in your suitcases, pickup %26amp; delivery of groceries. Can you think of anything else that you would like if you wanted your vacation to be a comfortable %26amp; memorable one? There must be other LEGAL services offered in other areas that I haven't thought of. I guess this would be considered concierge or guest services? I hope to work from home %26amp; support my kids with this idea. It means alot to me. Right now I am a single mom working part time %26amp; drawing partial assistance. I want to provide a good life for my kids without being away from them all the time. Thank you so much!

What would you like on vacation?

Where should I order Valentine's Day roses from?

I'm planning to send roses to my girlfriend's office on Valentine's Day. I won't be able to deliver the roses myself, therefore I will have to rely on a flower shop or delivery service to bring them to her.

I'm looking for quality and reliability at a reasonable price

Are there any good options other than using a local florist near her office?

Where should I order Valentine's Day roses from?
Your BEST option is a local florist. Please don't use one of those toll free or online services. My husband had flowers delivered to me through one of these services and the quality of the flowers was horrible. My friend had this same experience.

Where can I buy flowers online?

Specifically, I am looking for lavender roses, for my wedding-I found Vera Wang ones by FTD, but I need them for Feb. 19th, and delivery is not available. Does anyone know WHERE else I can find them?

I would also consider calla lillies, and does anyone know when you order if they will tie it for you?

Where can I buy flowers online?
http://www.order-flowers-delivery.com/bu...

has some wonderful lavender roses that are fresh-picked, unlike FTD or 1800flowers.com that have been sitting around storage coolers for days.

I have been using them for years and love their customer service.

You should have no problem getting them delivered on the 19th.

Good Luck!
Reply:http://www.fiftyflowers.com/flowers/Bulk...

there are the lavendar ones, they usually ship all year with no problems. As long as your willignt o do the bouquets yourself.
Reply:www.bigrose.com - they have lavendar roses...not sure when they ship by though..I think you could get them in still.
Reply:I ordered all my flowers from www.theflowerexchange.com and I cannot say enough good stuff about them. I used a variety of lilies for my flowers but they do have lavender roses. The price was right, the quality was great, they were stunning. In fact, I loved them so much, I ordered a bunch of flowers for my Thanksgiving celebration.

Good luck!

Reply:ftd, 1-800-flowers.com
Reply:Consider SILK--it's your best option at this point. Sorry! :(
Reply:Most local florists carry lavender roses. The only ones that I found that were Vera were on ftd.com. My birthday is February 19, can I have flowers? :)
Reply:Do *NOT* order from 1-800-FLOWERS (or 1-800-FLOWERS.com), ftd.com, etc. Go to http://maps.google.com, look up a local florist, and call them. You can even price out a few that way. Trust me, you'll be much, much happier.

P.S. I'm a dude...
Reply:If you want real flowers I found some on 1800flowers.com they had a beautiful bouquet with lavender roses and they had same day delivery. Hope this helps. :0)
Reply:Hi. I recommend www.rosesource.com

The only problem is....the minimum you can buy are 75 and in some shades the minimum is 125.

Here is the link:

http://www.rosesource.com/Lavender_Roses...

I have used this online site for flowers and they were very good. Also, there are many "shades" of lavender to pick from.
Reply:Globalrose.com!

This place is excellent...the quality...the life of the flower...the price is unbeatable!

My cousin did all of her flowers for the wedding - including alter arrangements and pew decorations...all for under $300 and she still have over 120 roses left over!
Reply:You can order bulk flowers from Sam's Club if you're a member.

Also, http://www.growersbox.com/

I wouldn't depend on the website. I'd call these people because you need them in such a hurry.

I feel bad - The door bell rang and it was a delivery man for a florist shop?

I feel bad - The door bell rang and it was a delivery man for a florist shop?
and most wifes give their hubby sex to..so whats her point.....

maybe if you were treated differently..she would be =]

Im harsh tonight huh lol
Reply:What is the question?
Reply:I sure wouldn't send flowers. I would be mad, because I would feel like you did it because someone else did and you used their idea.

Use your own idea and make it good and show her your love too and supper bug hugs and kisses and tell her how much you love her.====
Reply:that burns
Reply:You're not going to win with her, no matter what you do.
Reply:learn from your mistakes.

alot of us like them for no reason at all. just random surprises of love, and we love it when you send em to our work!
Reply:Wait. Aren't you the guy with the gloves and warm-up suit?

Buddy....where'd you manage to pick this broad up? She's sounds like she's a lot more trouble than she's worth.
Reply:You have some serious butt kissing to do. Pucker up!
Reply:Well it could have been worse. You could have accused her of having some flowers from another bloke.
Reply:Maybe if men realized how much a tiny bit of consideration once in a while could have a positive effect on relationships they would make an effort....sometimes it takes a slap in the face to wake them up. I think you just had yours.

It is almost New Years, why don't you make a resolution to pay attention to small things you could do to make your wife feel cared for. You can't send her flowers tomorrow, cause she will know you did it out of guilt, but what about doing so in March, or June? Look around for other ways to tell her you love her, especially when it isn't a special occasion. It will mean a lot to her.

You guys could get anything you want if you just played your cards right.
Reply:Send her flowers in a couple weeks at work or something and just make it a point to do nice stuff for her more often.
Reply:Sounds like your wife needs to learn that there is a lot more to a marriage than flowers and presents. I hope she's a better woman than what you've described her as. Cause so far, she seems like a very materialistic and ungrateful person.
Reply:Oh my-of course now you can't go right out and buy some-wait until Valentines Day and do it right!
Reply:Well she must be right. Women are aways right! At least that's what my girlfriend always tells me. lol
Reply:send your wife flowers
Reply:I feel bad for the delivery guy working today, and not with his family.
Reply:forget about it.. valentines day is coming up.. send her some then.. and send it to her job
Reply:Wow... That must have been a slap on the face... Well, I think your best option is to be spontaneously romantic. This is your chance to shine! Create something special! Make her feel like she's all you need for Christmas and all the materialistic things dont matter when your with her. Good Luck! Merry Christmas!!!!!
Reply:surprise her with something betterthan flowers. or you could add the flowers to the surprise.
Reply:go out and get her better and a lot more flowers and be like see i get flowers for the best girl ever too (: !!!!!!
Reply:Now you have to make plans and fast. First, make a reservation at the finest restaurant for dinner and dancing. After which take her back home, leaving 1 flower and say but I am the one who loves you.
Reply:Dude.why waste tiime here; send her some damn flowers! Sheesh!
Reply:Your wife probably asked her friend to send her flowers to try to make a point. If she tells you she likes something, do it, regardless of whether you think it's stupid!

Send her flowers, d@mmit!
Reply:She's too needy. Flowers are flowers. My dad hardly ever gets my mom flowers, maybe once every couple of years. Most men don't buy flowers, but some men love to do those sorts of things. Don't buy her flowers just bc she said that to you. She's trying to make you feel bad (which she obviously did) so you send her some. Forget it. Do something else more special instead of flowers. It's not all about the material things you know.
Reply:SURPRISE HER THEN
Reply:haha! well then surprise her with flowers more often.
Reply:OUCH
Reply:Just don't send her right now because she would know that you are only doing it because she said that. Wait about a month and send her flowers at her job with an invitation to dinner. That should get you off the hook for a little while. In the mean time hope you got her a really nice Xmas present.

Ever deliver flowers?

i have an interview for a part-time job at a flower shop.. my question is simple..did u like the work? lame stuff? easy stuff? another simple question..will they hire me cuz its about 2 be valentines day soon, and then fire me after v-day? HOW WAS THE PAY!?!? was it per hour or per delivery? thanks.

Ever deliver flowers?
Lot's of good questions. But they depend on where you live. They typically pay minimum wage, however you do get gas money for the most part. They are very seasonal, expect to be let off after Valentines day especially if they have other drivers. The work is ok, but like any other delivery job very boring!!!

Good luck!

Can I use Canadian peat moss to stop weeds in flower beds?

I don't want to use mulch because it's more expensive and I don't want to pay for delivery cost either. Canadian peat moss is much cheaper and I can bring it home myself with a car.

Can I use Canadian peat moss to stop weeds in flower beds?
There are at least two significant problems with the use of peat moss as a mulch.

1) It's so fine and light weight that it will likely blow away in any kind of wind.

2) Peat moss, when it drys out, is very difficult to wet-out again. In its dry state, it sheds water. This will make it very difficult for your plant's roots to receive proper watering.
Reply:Below is a link with lots of info about Canadian peat moss and it's many uses. I've always thought of peat moss as a soil additive, so I'm not sure about using it as a mulch.

Delivery florists in Orlando?

Does anyone know where I can find a list of florists who deliver in the orlando area? I want to send flowers to someone in the orlando area ...does anyone have any ideas how? where?

Delivery florists in Orlando?
You don't have to find a florist in Orlando babes. You can use any of the florists on the web. They have contracts with local florists literally everywhere to handle deliveries. Try 1-800-flowers for starters. Hope that helps.

What are some good gifts I can send for a birthday? See details?

My sister is turning 17 in January, and she lives across the country from me. What are some gifts I can send to her...flowers, cookie bouquets, etc that I can send through the mail for delivery at her school or job? Thanks!

cookie bouquet gets my vote! they are so yummy!!!
Reply:Every birthday means your sister is getting older! So, why don’t you “immortalise” her at 16 by getting a really cool-looking portrait made of her from her best photo? Just send the photo(s) to the professional and creative artists at http://www.paintyourlife.com and they will make very unique and classical-looking portraits or paintings out of them! You can send them instructions to send the portrait directly to her – with a personalised message from you!

The same company also has a studio for oil paintings reproductions. If you are looking for an affordable gift urgently, you can take a look at their 'stock on sale'. Visit http://www.oil-paintings-reproductions.c...

Need to do something nice for my wife from far away, ideas?

I'm deployed to Afghanistan and my wife and I have had a hard time lately. I truly love her and want to do something to show it even though I'm stuck over here. I need a good idea that goes beyond the usual flower delivery type stuff. Little help please...

Need to do something nice for my wife from far away, ideas?
This is really hard for you to do, but if you knew of a beauty salon or nice hotel that had a salon that gave beauty treatments, like massages, that would be very nice. You could pay for an entire beauty treatment--nails, pedicure, massage or just facial massage. A European facial massage is very nice and a very nice gift. You might need to contact one of her girlfriends or some other woman who knows the best places to go in your hometown. Very sweet of you. Hope everything works out positively for you both. And...thanks for being there protecting all of us in the USA. You are my hero. Take care.
Reply:seduce her nice n easly
Reply:My wife just found something so unusual to send her Mother for her birthday. Its a chocolate covered, giant Fortune Cookie. I will get the information for you and get it to you some how. My e-mail is six7@hotmail.com in case we lose each other.

ANSWER: Take advice from the old Stevie Wonder song: "I just called to say I love you, I just called to say how much I care...." She'll love the words, she'll love your voice ... more than any material thing.
Reply:Ahhh dude...you melted my heart just by wanting to do something special for her.

Do you two have a song that is yours? Send her the lyrics to it and a personal note of your own...or

Send her your top ten list called:

Top 10 reasons I Love you (or can be miss you)

I'm sorry you two are having a hard time ... I can't imagine being in the position you two are in. Good luck to you..and be safe. I'm sure she'll be waiting for you.
Reply:Try something very personal and from the heart. How about writing a poem? or make a list of all the things you love about her and send it to her.

If all else fails ask her Mom or best friend for help.

Good luck!
Reply:If she dont understand that you cant help being over there .... then she must not care that much about you. and i understand if she is jealous that your not with her .. but i dont really understand that.
Reply:Since you have online access.....why not send her chocolate covered strawberries from Godiva along w/ some nice but simple wine like Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon and a Sweet %26amp; sexy note letting her know that you're thinking about her and love her......Also for something a bit for economical send her a fruit aarrangement....www.ediblearrangements.c... are amazing and beautiful, plus you can send a card and any other extra cute gift along with it.... Check out the site.........If thats not what your looking for....and if shes like my friends or me, send her a box of gourmet steaks....from Uptown...something, also theres a company in Maine that will ship overnight Lobster Grams, with all of the fixins and a bottle of bubbly in a special package...... Believe it or not, women love food gifts too. And I'm a little one......

Why does "It" in I Love New York always have something citrus with him?

I have noticed in many scenes he is drinking orange juice. Also he is sucking the lemon when he was getting the flower delivery. Whats up with that?

Why does "It" in I Love New York always have something citrus with him?
Who really knows with this guy. He is a LEMON !
Reply:probably because he is an idiot.... i don't know if i am reaching but he seems seriously slow.... he can't all be there, mentally that is
Reply:dude is a big azz drunk. who knows!!
Reply:I never really noticed that. I must look out for that when the reruns come on.

maybe that is why he is so slow, the tangy parts of the lemon and other fruits must have gotten to his head.
Reply:that was easily the best Scene. "I was like do you want my lemon and she was like nah" I was laughing so hard
Reply:IT IS SO SEXCII but face it.....he's retarded

Where can i buy inexpensive flowers online from the us and have them shipped to the uk?

i'm looking to purchse a get well gift, flowers, balloons, a bear, for a friend over in london...a man in his 20s. i live in the united states. where can i purchase something like this? like a website? i've tried 1800 flowers and all of their packages that can be shipped to his area are quite pricey and very feminine looking. i'm looking to spend less than 30 dollars for the actual price of the product. maybe a little more if it's all that i can find. and more for shipping of course. i also need it guranteed for delivery next week on a specific day. any suggestions? or any suggestions for DIFFERENT get well gifts that can be sent here? thank you so much!

Where can i buy inexpensive flowers online from the us and have them shipped to the uk?
In the UK there is a service called interfora which arranges for a local florist to make up the order and deliver it.
Reply:You will be better off using an online florist based in the UK.
Reply:It's actually cheaper (than using Interflora etc) if you know whereabouts he is in the UK and have a look for florist shops close to him that accept c/c.

Cuts down on costs heaps, you can always ask if they have a website where you can pick the arrangement you want as well.

:)

Will Flowers help?

Following up with my previous questions...

I've decided to give her her space and not pressure her... she doesn't want to talk about our relationship then I won't. She still says that I don't care about her, and that I don't ever listen to her... at all.

I don't really know how to prove to her that I do... I bought her three carnations (the flowers I got her on our first date and she always liked them), colored blue, pink, and white respectively. I am also going to write a note consisting of:

"You know I care about you very deeply, even though I am sometimes bad at showing it. No matter what, I am always here for you for anything."

along with it. Do you think that it will help? I am going to deliver it on her doorstep while she is there and then just ring the doorbell. Mysterious delivery.

Will Flowers help?
You mentioned that she mentioned a bf who was posessive and obsessive? Maybe she was manipulative and controlling to him like she is being to you?

You have done everything you can. I wouldn't just take a step back, I would leave completely - move on and find someone who cares about how you feel.

She is going to keep you holding on until something better comes along. You have only known her for 2 weeks.

If she does feel the same way, she will come calling! She will!
Reply:A very nice gesture. Leave the flowers and note and don't hang around her house. Let her think about it and enjoy the flowers. Why don't you give her three pink roses instead you know, take it up a notch. Good luck. I think she will come around. Give her space and wait it out. You sound like a sweet considerate person. Keep it up.
Reply:She migth see it as you running away and not facing her, if she catches you leaving it and then high tailing it out of there.....be careful.....has to be done without error. The truth of the matter is, you should ask her in the letter to help you understand her side of things..tell her you want to understand her feeling if she would give you the chance.
Reply:Mysterious delivery? I'm sure she'll know right away who it's from.

Will it help? Possibly, Lord knows it can't hurt.

Good luck!

Hybrid or Gas SUV for delivery vehicles?

If you were going to order flowers from a florist and you know that one company delivers using a hybrid SUV and the other company delivers using a gas SUV, and the cost is the same, which would you choose? (This is for a class research project.)

Hybrid or Gas SUV for delivery vehicles?
hybrid...save the environment :)
Reply:The better choice would be BIOFUEL. You will look like a genius in front of your other classmates. But, be like Spike and do the right thing (save the environment).
Reply:All other things being equal, I'd go with the one that gets the deliveries done on time. I really don't care what kind of vehicle they use to do it with.
Reply:If the cost is the same I might choose the hybrid one (though I am still suspect of the long term impact of hybrids with all those batteries!)

Often the choice would be based more on the friendliness of the people at the store, their service, on-time delivery, selection and quality of the flowers.

And as for cost, would it really be the same? Think Whole Foods. They charge much more than the average grocer. I suspect a Hybrid SUV flower place would be more expensive.
Reply:well given that your business is based on good environmental conditions, i think the obvious answer would be the hybrid SUV

What is the wierdest dream that you ever had? What does this crazy dream mean?

Please don't be mean when you answer this. I dreamed that my husband and myself were going to Canada....I won't use the two other peoples names, but they know who they are. For benefit, I will say "P" and "J". Anyway, my cellphone rang and it was "P". "P" asked me was I going to meet her at the shed. I said yes but my husband acting all grumpy. She said that "J"was too. Anyway the conversation went on, and her husband "J" was pregnant and my husband was too. Anyway, to make a long story short. We were embarassed that our husbands were pregnant and we were taking them to the shed to actually castrate them to help them with delivery. The thing is, we were going to use fishing line and alcohol to perform the procedure.

I know this sounds crazy, but honestly it is 100% true. Is there anyone that can tell me what this dream means? I normally do not have dreams like this. I dream about flowers and meadows. This was out of the norm. Your thoughts? Scared me a bit.

What is the wierdest dream that you ever had? What does this crazy dream mean?
ha comma ha comma ha, gee this reminds of a dream i had recently, i had a couple of m%26amp;ms and one was making all this racket about "feelings" and "child birth", after i knew what must be done so i grabbed a small dish and placed one of the m%26amp;ms (the one without the nut if you must know) on it, so i took the small dish and put it in the yard for one of the passing blue jays and after a sharp HIGH pitched squeak all was silent once again. the funny thing is is that i normally have dreams about dinosaure and ninjas and such, why i'd dream about talking candy i'll never know
Reply:Last night I dreamed that I was eating a giant marshmallow. When I woke up my pillow was gone.
Reply:I don't think it sounds crazy at all. And you wouldn't think so, either, if you could dig into my brain and see the nutty dreams that I've had. LOL

I'd love to tell you what your dream means. Sometimes (well, actually, often times) I feel that I can interpret dreams (not all, just some, and rarely my own), but I question myself so much (due to the taboo of such things, I guess) that it clouds my thoughts and causes me to question myself. Know what I mean?

Now *I* probably seem crazy. LOL! Ignore everything I've said if you want to. But just know one thing.... Know that your dream is NOT crazy. Nothing is wrong, and you have no reason to be afraid.
Reply:that 's really crazy

and i don't know what it mean

but i think that you want to see your husband has

a lot of responsibility just like you

How do I make a complaint of a purchase I made. Flower Expo sent the wrong colors and flowers to a funeral?

I went to Flower Expo and ordered a bouquet for a funeral. I specified the colors I wanted and also the flowers even the ribbon to be placed on it. I asked for blue flowers and specified carnations white in color and the tips dyed blue with palms in the back ground. The owner showed me some flowers he had but I said no because they were not blue they were purple. He assured me he knew exactly what I would like and he would arrange them himself. When I paid for them I also paid delivery for this memorial gave the address to be delivered to got a reciept and left. Well to make my point I was so devestated when I got to the memorial the whole arrangement was with pink roses orange orchids and the flowers I told him were not blue. He refuses to give me a refund and says I should of took them back how many people do you know of that would carry away flowers meant for the dead and tell the family I HAD TO TAKE THEM BACK. How do I make a complaint of a purchase I made. Flower Expo sent the wrong colors and flowers to a funeral?
Since he refuses to give you a refund report his company to the Better Business Bureau.
Reply:If you paid with a credit card you can dispute the charges with your credit card company. You may not get anywhere but at least you will cause him some inconvience. It's worth a shot, at worst you can delay payment for a few months.

If no one saw the flowers did they exist?

I spent $170 on a floral spray for a loved relative who's funeral I could not attend. I placed the order with the florist recommended by the funeral home and they seemed very accommodating.

After speaking with most of the relatives who did attend the funeral, nobody recalls seeing these flowers or my card. I called the florist and they later told me they had the receipt and the delivery driver specifically remembers delivering them.

I'm not a wealthy woman and the flowers being there meant a lot to me. I don't want to hurt the florist financially if they did what I paid them to do, but don't I deserve some sort of refund if they didn't?

This is all the information I have, so I have to make a decision based on what I've written. I'm considering filing an investigation request with my credit card company to have the charges reversed.

If no one saw the flowers did they exist?
Those things sometimes get mishandled at the funeral home. You could dispute the charge, but they will offer a signed receipt. The burden of proof is on you, and you have no proof.

Should I send flowers?

I just went on a second date with this woman on Satuday night. It consisted of dinner at a really nice restaurant and a movie we both enjoyed. She was talkative and enthusiastic, and I believe she really enjoyed our evening, as did I. We did not talk at all the next day; I made a point of not calling, so as to avoid sounding overeager. Also, I did not go for a goodnight kiss, even though it was our second date. Your thoughts?

Anyway, all that being said, I've been struck with the bright idea of sending her flowers tomorrow. She works late, which means she wouldn't be home in time for a delivery, so I wanna take the gamble and send them to her workplace. It'll be a simple arrangement, like a bouquet - I figure a dozen red roses would be too bold a statement.

Yea or nay?

Should I send flowers?
I would definitely send her flowers, but not red roses, but maybe yellow and pink roses. They are nice, but not too presumptuous.
Reply:I agree with Destiny..women love a chase at times...a challenge... so yes..send the flowers..let her know you were thinking about her..it will melt her! She'll be calling you grinning from ear to ear...Red roses are good..do you happen to know her favorite color of favorite flower, just to personalize it a little bit..

Good luck

Reply:Do it. When I was dating my husband he found my car at work and put a single rose under the windshield. WOW Things like that women love. Send the flowers.
Reply:rose not yet try something a little softer not something that says that you are in love with her already try not to send the wrong picture
Reply:not calling on the second day - BIG mistake... unless you have your own game plan.

I think it's sweet that you did not go for the kiss on the second date but i sure hope you gave her lots of hugges and holding hands and lovy dovy stuff...

Flowers at work - sweet but maybe not red roses... Why not lilies? They smell great too....
Reply:Get her a dozen pink.
Reply:Well women do love flower's, but you are sending mixed emotions. I know if we went out twice and the second date you didn't kiss me on the check at least or call the next day or so, I would think you weren't interested !!! You may want to step up your game and send flower's besides roses are cheaper this time of the year.. Go for the roses..They don't have to be red you know .
Reply:Definatly
Reply:Yeah. I think you did everything right. You didn't seem too into her..which is a good sign because women like a chase sometimes..and I think it would be a fantastic suprise! I say YES
Reply:awww! that sounds so sweet! it would let her know your thinking about her and that you had a great time! i'd do it!

What do you think happened...I received flowers. Is this a joke?

Literally, 5 minutes ago (before I typed this question) a guy came to my house with a big bouquet of flowers. When I opened the door, he smiled, placed the flowers on the steps, and walked away without saying a word. I was really confused... The flowers had nothing written on them. (There was no card). I was wondering if the guy was delivering them to me from someone else. (Maybe that was his job.) But if he was delivering them, wouldn't he ask me to sign something....or some companies have you pay for the delivery, right? The guy left in such a hurry, that I barely got a glimpse of his face. He was probably young; (looked around my age, maybe older.) If the flowers were for me, then I don't know why. I don't even know who gave them to me! The flowers are absolutely beautiful, but I wish I could tell someone "thank you". My brother said it could have been a weak prank. Do you think this is true? I don't think it was a secret admirer because I haven't been seeing anybody...

What do you think happened...I received flowers. Is this a joke?
IF i EVER PLAYED A PRANK OR SOMETHING i WON'T WASTE MONEY ON ANY OF IT.MAYBE HE BLUSHED AND DIDN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW HE HAD A CRUSH ON U.( HAVE YOU SEEN HIM B4)?...SO WHY DON'T YOU THINK ITS A SECRET ADMIRER? AND YOUR BROTHER MIGHT BE BEING MEAN TO YOU BY TELLING YOU THAT IT MAYBE A PRANK.AND JUST MAKING YOU FEEL BAD..
Reply:Oh so that guy dropped the card and even forgot to take your signature !! These online flower suppliers are never going to improve. I can't trust them any more.

That bouquet was sent by me... believe me it wasn't a prank.

But I'll be hurt if you say, "Thank you" etc.

Remember? No "Sorry " %26amp; "Thank you" amongst friends !!
Reply:Have you upset anybody in the last few days,as the guy left them in a hurry on the steps it could be meant as a wreath for death.(As in drop dead)

Yea or nay?

Should I send flowers (and a couple other questions)?
First, If you werent comfortable kissing her yet, then you did the right thing, kiss her when you fell you are ready.

Second, flowers seem like a good idea, most women will like flowers any time =). Good luck!
Reply:what a sweetie :)

take your time and do what feels right.

send flowers no woman will reject flowers.

yea for sure

good luck
Reply:yes. we women love flowers and getting them sent to her work gives you all the more brownie points. not calling was good. we don't like clingy, but no kiss on the second date. a peck would'vr suited. at any rate, you sound like a keeper. i am sure she is swept off of her feet. keep up the good dating habit.
Reply:Yes BUT not the red roses, they represent love, you know "I love you" love... unless if that's how you feel
Reply:yeah! Send the flowers but make sure you have a note attached telling her you enjoyed the date and you would love a third date and call her with further detail
Reply:I would and just put on the card something like I enjoyed our date how about another soon? That way you are thanking her for the date and asking for another without sounding to eager!
Reply:Aw, you sound like a sweet guy. Lucky girl. I would be flattered if someone sent me flowers at work. I would try something a little less bold than the dozen roses though. Save that for later on in the relationiship ;) Keep it simple. Good luck :)
Reply:Never push somebody - because you are already blind.

Some people needs more time to make their mind. You want give all the candy in the world to her. But be realistic what she really knows about you. Gun shut viva love - do you want give her the flowers every week to the rest of your life.??
Reply:A bouquet sounds good....but not red roses though, it'll look like you're trying too hard....go for something small and subtle but that'll leave an impact.....maybe four lovely lilies tied together with a nice satin ribbon (this is just a suggestion, by the way).....whichever flowers you choose, she'll be grateful of the fact that you took the intiative to show that you appreciate her....good luck:)
Reply:I would wait on the flowers. But call her!! Dont forget Sweetest day is Saturday. Ask her out fot Fri or Sat...see what is best for her.

If you want to friend flowers ...do it for Sweetest Day. Dont do red roses yet...go for pink and white.
Reply:Wow what a lucky lady to hv found u, go for it, but put ur phone nomber on the card, if shes really interested she will call u, at the very least to say thanks, then go from there, if no call well u no where u stand. good Luck.
Reply:no, bring her flowers on a date, this is more appropriate, than sending them to work, you send to work, when you know her better.
Reply:good job not kissing on the second date, you should just let the feelings flow.yes you should send her flowers and it should say something like this_just wanted to let you know that i was thinking of you, and have a great day.!

I hope you have a great relationship with this girl.

p.s.- go with white daises and on the card include- well you go on a third date with me.-make it a fun date. you need to teach her something on the date- that way ya'll can get close.

EX. go make something together.
Reply:She wouldn't have gone on a second date with you if she wasn't interested. She's probably going to be confused when she receives the flowers, because you haven't called her, which is a far more attentive thing to do with a woman you're interested in. Call her, and hope it's not too late, because by not following up with a phone call to say how much you enjoyed her company the previous evening, you're sending mixed messages with a flower arrangement. I know she's probably thinking 'why didn't he call?'. Call her immediately and ask her out on a third date. This time, follow up with a phone call the next day.
Reply:i think it's really sweet. shows you are thinking about her.
Reply:No , you will look like a needy wuss , man really hows sending flowers going to create attraction it wont work. Period . Youl look like a dork whoes trying to impress her . Belive me yor acting too despirate she will ignore you if you keep it up .
Reply:I think that sending her flowers at work would be fine. She would like it if others knew she was considered special. But you are right about the roses, Red roses mean love and seriousness. Send her yellow roses or some other types of flowers that make a statement. Leave a simple note with them, like, I was just thinking of you today, and wanted to let you know I had a great time the other night. And I hope we can have more, give me a call. That way you are not overly eager and your letting her decide what she wants to do.
Reply:yea
Reply:I think that's a great! I would love if my boyfriend would have done that! I think you are definitely right about not going with the full blown dozen of red roses...save that for later, further into the relationship. I also agree with what someone mentioned before me about sending a card with the flowers telling her that you had fun and ask her if she's up for another date. By what you said she does sound pretty interested, so I don't believe your making a mistake by sending the flowers and the card (if you're going to do it). Good luck and I hope she loves it as much as a lot of us girls would!.
Reply:I think that would be lovely, especially if you send a simple little arrangment with a short note or something like that. I agree with you about the roses - that might be a bit much, but otherwise I think that's very thoughtful.

About the goodnight kiss, I think as long as both of you had a good time and it felt right, not going for a kiss is totally acceptable. If by chance she misinterpreted it for not being interested I'm sure the flowers will get the right message across, anyway!
Reply:Yes!! Go for it! She would absolutely love it!

What is the most tragic suicide that you've personally dealt with?

Sorry if this topic upsets anyone, but I'm trying to work through my own pain of losing someone close to me, and talking about this helps. A few months ago the girl who was to be the maid of honor at our wedding killed herself. Sarah believed that she screwed up a college entrance exam that she thought would be her last hope for a career (after being out of work and depressed for over a year). She laid out on the railroad tracks after getting drunk on liquor, and apparently was motionless (passed out) when the train operator hit the brakes too late. It totally devastated her family, my Fiancee', everyone. Her entire family is on medication now (including two sisters and a brother), no one can work, and they visit the grave site every day with fresh flowers hoping a miracle will happen. Now the worst part. She had actually been accepted by the college, and the couriers had screwed up the delivery of the acceptance notice. Sooooooo tragic. The parents have the notice framed and up on the wall at home as a source of pride. Their pastor has mentioned that they need to get on with their lives, but they can't. They have turned her bedroom into a sort of shrine.

I really don't know what to think about this as it is all like some kind of terrible nightmare, I don't think I've really heard of any other worse than this. We feel like we are the only ones who have to go through this. Thanks for listenening.

What is the most tragic suicide that you've personally dealt with?
Last February my boyfriends mother killed herself, his brother found her in the basement after drinking an extensive amount of anti-freeze. They did an autopsy and found it in her stomach.. so tragic.

My boyfriend doesn't talk about his mother, and it worries me too. He seems to be numb from any pain that he might have felt after she killed herself. I'm currently trying to encourage him to go to therapy.

My father died in 2000 and it was a very tragic loss for me, I was very close to my dad, he didn't kill himself however, but the loss of a loved one is very difficult to deal with no matter how they died.

My suggestion would be to find a support group in a local church or talking with a grievence councelor of some kind. Support groups can help a great deal because you won't feel so alone, and you will find that many people have a lot in common.

I live in Michigan and there are support groups of suicide survivors located throughout the state, there might be one where you live as well.

Reply:You are not alone, that's for sure. Suicide is a terrible thing, I tried to kill myself when I was a young girl and of course did not succeed. All I can tell you is at the time I wasn't thinking of what would happen afterwords, where I would go when I died and I wasn't thinking of what my friends and family would have to deal with afterwards... I was being selfish only thinking of my pain and my pain really wasn't nothing that bad. Well that was a long time ago and since then I have had to deal with my husbands mother killing her self , a year later his father, I have had 2 friends kill themselves and a little over 2 years ago my mother's husband killed himself. It has showed me how selfish this act is, because of what your family and friends have to go through and it is just awful. I have God in my life and it helps. I believe it is a sin to take a life God gave you and throw it away like it was nothing, but I also think God holds a special healing place for these lost souls. I can't tell you it ever feels better, because that pain is always there, but it does seem to ease as time goes by. As for your friends family all you can do is be there to listen to them and help keep her spirit alive, but you have to go on with your life believe me your friend in heaven realizes what she has done now and she would not want you to dwell on this all your life. I am very sorry for your loss. Take care.
Reply:I can relate to your feelings and tragic loss as my son's best friend killed himself just 5 months ago. He was only 15 yrs old and his mother found him hung in his closet. My son has Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome now and is seeing a counselor. What makes the situation worse is no one had no clue as to why he did this. I find myself wondering all the time "what could I have done to help him" but in reality he was obviously suffering from the inside over a deeper issue than anyone could see. It really messed my son up he is now on anti-depressants, can't go to school, has nightmares, and is agoraphobic (can't leave the house" so I know first hand the tragic and devastation of going through the suicide of someone close to your family.

FTD flowers terrible for 2/14/08 Valentine's day??

I ordered 'gauaranteed delivered' flowers from FTD on 2/11/08 for a delivery on 2/14/08 (Valentine's day). The flowers were not delivered. I called FEdEx they said a label was made but FTD never sent the flowers. I called FTD on 2/14 and 2/15 and customer service was un-available. However, when I called the extension to order flowers, a representative was miraculousley available. I e-mailed FTD and am still waiting for a responce, because I am demanding a full refund (and not a store credit). If, I do not receive it I will contact the Better Business Bureau as well as write blogs about my experience. I am furious, because my fiance was so upset (everyone in her work got flowers except her). Has anyone had a similar experience from FTD on 2/14/08? If so, I appreciate all replies, and suggest contacting the BBB

FTD flowers terrible for 2/14/08 Valentine's day??
A couple ladies in our office got a dozen red roses, tie wrapped in a box with a vase delivered by FTD yesterday afternoon. Today they were SAD and LIMP when we cam in this morning ... by this afternoon several of the roses lost a good many petals. Very Pathetic!! Thank Goodness I stopped at a local flower shop on the way home and got my wife and daughter their goodies in person.
Reply:I had a problem with FTD a couple of years ago and went through a very similar thing. Their customer service is horrible and it took days and several phone calls for a resolution. Needless to say, I will never use them again. Have you seen Edible Arrangements? They have great stuff and they are reliable.

Reply:According to the BBB the majority of their complaints are with their delivery service. They also go by other names such as

Gift Sense

FTD Direct

FTD.com (Florists Transworld)

Butterfield Blooms

florist.com

Flowersusa.com

Flowers Direct

(just incase you thought over ordering online again probably wont want to try their other companies if you are unsatisfied)

But they are however accreditted with the BBB as being satisfactory. Ive heard from other people its not the best place as far a reliability. . Other people have said 1-800-flowers is a better website to use.
Reply:Sorry, you let it ruin your 2 days. Poop happens. I understand your disappointment, but understand they didn't do it intentionally, and they will make it right.
Reply:Well I don't think Blogging will really help much, but I do understand your frustration. I think you are completely in line demanding a refund and not store credit... calling the BBB is ok too.. make sure you tell them that's what you are going to do....

Companies tend to not like that...

I'm sorry about your Finace.... I've had problems with FedEx though...

Ok to send flowers to the house the day after a funeral? What else could I do?

I just found out a former boss's father has died, and she was very close to him (he lived with her). She is my former boss, but also I have known her for a long time, and we used to visit socially. We haven't been social for about 5 years, not for any bad reason, just lost touch.

The funeral is tomorrow, I'm very sick and can't make it. I was going to have flowers sent to the house tomorrow, but same-day delivery bouquets (since it's after the cutoff time) are pretty scrawny and way out of my price range with the rush same-day delivery fee.

I was thinking of having flowers sent to the house on the following day or some other time this week. Is this tacky/unacceptable?

My other idea was to mail a sympathy card with a $50 gift certificate for a restaurant, so she can treat her family to take out or something to make meals easier, etc.

Please don't bash me, I'm just trying to figure out what the right thing to do is, with what I've got. Any other ideas would be great

Ok to send flowers to the house the day after a funeral? What else could I do?
Ill be flat honest here from my experience. A death in the family is a hard time. Someone else mentioned that flowers are just another item that has to be dealt with. And that is soooo true. I mean really, no one is going to be planting flowers or worry about watering them right after a death. They are going to die and its just something else that has to be done.

Food is the first thought for most people. Our family has always been over run by food during times like that - and its great!!! But please, use disposable dishes. Again, one more thing to deal with. It is sooo nerve racking to have to sit and contact all these people to get their dishes back. Like I really want to deal with that next week when I have just buried my family?

Some will say cash is tacky. But likely, cash is probably needed at times like that. No one is cooking, you have to make arrangments, probably go get a dress to wear, run around taking care of this and that. Fast food and take out is probably all that will be eaten for a couple weeks. I have suddennly just spent a great deal of money that I wasnt counting on, I have no idea how I am going to make the payments on this..... Yeah, cash is needed. These are the times when youshould give what is needed not worry about whats polite.

Showing up at the door ready to clean (with permission), or offering your time to help take care of small children while the adults are taking care of things.

A nice card would really be al thats necessary since you are not activly in this persons life. But if you are going to spend money, go with a visa gift card or prepaid credit card that can be used anywhere. That will be appreciated and get used, while the flowers will likely get neglegted, die, and get thrown out.
Reply:Flowers are over done and will just be another item to deal with. Cash, who needs that from a funeral? A simple card stating how you feel is all that is needed. Since you had social ties as well, once well. It might be a good time to just pay a visit. A 1 hour person to person conversation holds much more weight than any cash or flowers could. Even a card with a small notes holds more.
Reply:flower are sweet i did the same for a friend when her cuz passed it dose help and also u can instead of the gift card to a restaurant u could make them dinner and take it over cuz they may not want to go out but than agian they might need to get out and get there minds off of things but u have a good idea it is sweet and shows u care
Reply:do not send money.. now is not the time. sending flowers is the most perfectly acceptable thing to do... the best.. and they will appreciate it.
Reply:A dish garden or a fruit basket would be appropriate as well....
Reply:A donation to a charity is a far better idea than cut flowers sent to the house.
Reply:no money, card and flowers later if you can will be wonderful!
Reply:Sympathy cards and flowers are acceptable at this time. Right now the bereaved needs more emotional help than financial help. No amount of money can replace the loss and the pain of a loved one.

You can consider writing this in your sympathy card "I recently heard about the loss of your loved one. I am very sorry for your loss. There are not enough words to say to take the pain away but just to let you know if you need anything, let me know and I will be there at your aide. You are in our thoughts and prayers."

I am in similar situation. I lost my father in law last week and my best friend wrote a very brief message and in the end she writes "hope you are doing well.", which is sorta offensive to me.because we are not doing well. Maybe it would be fine if she wrote more. We bereaved folks can be extra sensitive to words.
Reply:I think at first the response is overwhelming for the family, in the past i was told by a family member that it is the time after, a few weeks down the road when the phone calls slowly stop, and the cards stop coming in, and the people don't drop by as often, is when people start to really feel the loss. I can recommend that probably the nicest thing you could do down the road is cook a nice meal and take it over to her so she has a prepared meal for a day or two would probably help immensely and it would show that you cared and were thinking of her.

My neighbor left a fragile delivery at our door, knew we were home, rang doorbell and split. Was that Rude?

This was a delivery of a fairly large bouquet of flowers in a glass vase. We were not at home when the florist delieved so they left it with our neighbor. I called the neighbor at work and she said she would have her daughter bring it by who was running erands in her car (senior in high school). Now understand, this is a weird neighbor because she is a real estate agent with her smiling face on a couple of billboards around town. She's been in the paper and so she fancies herself somewhat of a public figure. But she is snotty, rude, won't return voice mails or emails, will hold up her hand and walk away from you if you try to speak to her in public, and this is unfortunately who the leadership of our 10-unit condo assn. fell to. I think her daughter was snubbing us by not at least waiting to HAND the flowers to us. She placed it so close to the outward swinging storm door, we couldn't open the door and had to walk around the block to retrieve the flowers. Was that rude?

My neighbor left a fragile delivery at our door, knew we were home, rang doorbell and split. Was that Rude?
definitey rude... but it sounds like..... "like Mother, Like Daughter!!!!" nothing you can do about it.....now you know the daughter is the same way... Double the trouble!!!

Happy Holidays!!!
Reply:yes
Reply:Character or personality has nothing to do with it, just a kid in a hurry to do a chore who had other things on her mind. Forget it.
Reply:Maybe she was being rude and maybe she was simply being a kid. Don't dwell on it. Send a nice thank you note for the fact that they got your flowers to you. Two wrongs never make a right. Rise above it.
Reply:you are the rude one. You should have gone over and picked it up at your neighbors house. It was very nice of them to sign for it and then bring it your house. You have no right to be offended because they didn't extend themselves even further.

It appears you are petty and jealous over your neighbor.
Reply:Kinda thoughtless leaving it so close to the door that you couldn't open it without tipping the flowers. I'd say just give the daughter the benefit of the doubt, that she wasn't thinking, maybe she's cut from a different cloth than her mother (we hope)?
Reply:Yes, that was rude, but look who is modeling behavior for her to imitate. She sees her mom is a well known, successful person and believes she will be just like her. The problem is....she is
Reply:no.....and I think your making to big of a deal out of nothing.....get over it already...and you do sound like a hater..then you going to go on a rant about someone who put a comment you didn't like.....no wonder your neighbors don't want to talk with you...chill out....
Reply:Oh, that's definitely rude. I'd try and talk to her mother about it. You know, real estate agents are supposed to be more personable people. I'd advise my friends not to do business with her, for that specific reason.
Reply:Yes bloody rude .... my neighbour also did a similar thing to me once, my husband send me a big bouquet of flowers, in summer so it was very hot. He asked that it will be delivered early in the morning but they only delivered it later in the morning when I wasn't there. The stupid neighbour only brought it the next day ................never put it in water and all the flowers were wilting and dying. I mean why did she accept the flowers if she knew she was only bringing it the next day? People are so selfish
Reply:She probably thought you were coming out to collect the flowers immediately and didn't realised that the door couldn't be opened or she probably was running out of time. Yes that was a little rude and it would be more polite to hand the flowers to you in person but don't let this "little" incident bothering you.
Reply:Yes, seems like they didn't want to be bothered by it so lets just leave it outside.
Reply:That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. This woman needs a reality check and her daughter needs a boot in the Head

What to say/do when a friend loses her full-term baby?

I just found out that a friend lost her full-term baby during delivery last night. I want to convey my sadness for her and her husband, but I don't know if it is appropriate to call or send flowers. If I talk to her, what should I say? I can't begin to imagine the pain of carrying a child for nine months only to lose it in the delivery room...

What to say/do when a friend loses her full-term baby?
Thats terrible for her....something like that would crush you! I couldnt imagine that. Definately dont call because thats not personal enough. You could buy her a plant or a rose instead so she can plant it somewhere and feel close to the baby she lost. Sometimes u dont need to say much but by making yourself available and simply hugging and letting her know u care and are there if she needs you will mean alot. And dont forget about her in a month, she will need your shoulder for alot longer. Even maker her meals little things mean alot.

Just want to add that i had an ectopic pregnancy and i have a teddy bear (given when i found out i was preg) and also a small vase with flowers now dried that remind me of the baby.
Reply:i have a friend that lost her full term baby boy, it was very difficult to comfort her i let her know i was there for her but i also gave her space she came to me when she was ready.
Reply:only thing you can say, is that you are there for her and her husband...just be there. that is all she needs....Turthfully nothing you or anyone will say will be comforting to her...not for a long long time....if she rejects your at first, dont take it personal....just say I dont want to bother you....but I am here for you. and whatever you need I will be here to give.

Good luck...so sorry to hear about your friends loss, this will be a hard thing for all of you.
Reply:you need to go see her, hug her be there for her, cry with her, support her, there are no right words to say it will never be enough, listen to what she has to say and go from there i could never imagine dealing with this it is heart breaking, whatever you do do not say well you'll have another someday, thatis probably the last thing she wants to hear.....
Reply:You don't say if you live near-by. Please don't send anything, they don't need to deal with stuff, right now. If you call, ask him--not her--if you can come over, and if you can, just sit quietly with her and let her cry on you. Don't talk unless she initiates any remarks, and keep your replys brief and loving.

Bring food, anything is fine, but hot-dishes are best. Use plates or bowls you don't require returned. And if you're a good friend, continue to bring food as well as any supplies she may need.

Let her husband do what he needs to do to support them.

And continue not to offer advice. Just be there, let her cry on you. This is a quick answer, I'm sure there are other ideas, too.
Reply:Don't call I am sure she isn't up to talking. She must be devastated, poor thing. Maybe you can bring her dinner or send her a card and flwoer letting her know you are there for her.
Reply:Nothing U can do or say my momma's friend lost her baby in an early birth I think it was a month early she greived and greived but now she wound up pregnant after only a year they told her to wait a few years or untill she thought she was ready to try again and she was on birth control and used condoms but now she is pregnant again all U can do is be there for her (I'd pray for her too but I don't know if u or her or religious so ya........) But in any case I will pray for her! any way good luck
Reply:Don't need to say anything, nothing will sound right. Just be there for her, let her do the talking when she is ready. I'm sorry...
Reply:If possible, go see her. Give them both a hug. Tell them you're so very sorry for their lose. Let them know you are there for them if they ever need you. When she get out of the hospital, bring over some food. Offer to run errands for her, etc. I think you get the idea. She will be in no condition to do much. Once you ascess the situtation, then you'll know when to step back or help. Remember, they need time to grieve.

What colleges Should I apply to?

Here are my Stats: SAT score: 1580 ( yes I know i did crappy.. thats like average) I was a House page my Junior year.I was chosen for principal's page. I volunteered 217 hours at a hospital. in Osteo screening, short stay surgery , pediatrics and flower delivery. volunteered in food drive. Volunteered 300 hours to political campaigns. I interned at a law firm when I was 15 for a year ( including summer) and my senior year ( now) for a year. I have a 3.8 GPA National Honors society tutoring freshmen, I'm attending Eastern Washington University now getting college credits ( as well as fulfilling my highschool requirements) for my senior year.Hoby leadership program. I started a crochet club. In art club and spanish club. uhh. president's award for volunteering, presidents award thing for academics. and moreI 'm Mexican... What are my odds in getting into a good college. any suggestions on where I could get accepted to? Where I should apply? I'm thinking of going into law......

What colleges Should I apply to?
Yeah, they obviously don't know what the new SAT test is :) Wasn't that horrible??? It is sooooooooooo long. Anyway, there are a lot of good schools that you could get into - you did a TON of extracurricular work, so you should make that the backbone of your application. Apply to your state's main public school as a backup (or not, some are really very good). Apply to Loyola University of Chicago. I applied there when I was a senior, and I know that they LOVE extracurricular work and volunteerism. I read that you want to go into law, so it MIGHT help to go to a school that has a law school, but it really doesn't usually make a difference (that's what I've heard at least). Best of luck!!!
Reply:Find a university that supports the major you want.

Put them on a list and start to figure out which would be the best fit for you
Reply:Well, if a person actually existed that did all of this, they could probably get into almost any school they wanted.

However, since you're just lying and making all this crap up, I suggest you just apply at a basic university in your state, so you don't have to worry about paying out-of-state tuition.
Reply:1580 and you call that crappy? are you on drugs? that is HARVARD material. law? damn i'm going into law too. i don't have your credentials but i am doing an internship with the district attorney in NY now. but you should apply for NYU, HARVARD, YALE, PRINCETON and along those lines why do you ask such stupid questions like what are your odds of getting into college. your odds of getting into a GREAT college are the same odds as you going to sleep and waking up today/tomorrow depends your time zone. but you get my point.

Question about flower deliveries?

My fiancee is student teaching at a high school right now. I wanna have flowers delivered to her on Valentine's Day, but I know that schools can be strict when it comes to deliveries for security reasons. Would it be tasteful for me to send these flowers to her (have them dropped off at the office and then they call her to come get them) or should I just wait until she gets home to give them to her?

Question about flower deliveries?
you are sweet, why dont you just take them yourself.. be very early get there before she comes and there you are standing holding the flowers, she will melt
Reply:If you send them to the school they will call her down and all the folks in the office and anyone coming in will see the flowers (roses?) Then not only she, but all the folks she works with will also know what a wonderful thoughtful man you are! I would love it!!
Reply:Wait until she comes home if you think it would be a problem.
Reply:You can always call the school and ask what the policy is on flower deliveries, I doubt you'd have a problem.

choosing ice skates

Would it be weird to get flowers the day b4 valentine's day?

ok

so i ordered flowers today

and the lady who works there said there's gonna be EXTRA $40 delivery fee if I wanted to get them delivered on Valentine's day.

Also we're gonna get loads of snow on Thursday

so..would that be WEIRD?!?!

please help me....

Would it be weird to get flowers the day b4 valentine's day?
no it wouldnt be weird. flowers is not just for valentines day. you can give your partner flowers a week before it doesnt matter. if she loves you enough she would adore your flowers whenever she gets them.
Reply:one day before is acceptable...ever better if you ask me...You'll get some pre-Valentine gifts ;)
Reply:I had a guy get me flowers the day before and then give em to me after keepin em in his locker all day.

but if u take care of them and make sure they don't get dried out or cold they should be fine
Reply:No, it's the idea that is still sweet. I would love it!!

How much money is a good tip amount?

Either in a restaurant or delivery? Should I tip for all deliverys like flowers and what about hairdressers do you tip them to?

How much money is a good tip amount?
20 per cent
Reply:it depends on who is serving u because if they are good they would get at least 5.00 dollars
Reply:10% is minimum, 15% for good service. 20% for excellent service. NEVER stiff the wait staff!
Reply:a restaurant tip is should be 15%-20% of your total bill.. A hairdresser tip should be around $5 maybe more depending on what u had done
Reply:Depends on the service...

* Really crappy service that makes you wanna throw tables around...no tip

* Regular crappy service that makes you wonder if the waiter was rolling a joint before he delivered your food...5% tip

* Ok service that is somewhat satisfactory but still leaves room to be desired...10% tip

* Great service that makes you wanna ask the waiter out...15% tip

* Best service ever that makes you wish you were the waiter...20% tip

(I'm bored)
Reply:what ever that tax amount is double it and leave that for the tip
Reply:eating out 20% unless the service is bad then I do like 15%

delivery food 10% $20 for a pizza $2 tip- if I order $50 and get 5 pizzas I'd give a $5

Hairdressers yes you tip- depending on the job they did I just give about 15%

Tattoo artist- tip

Don't tip Starbucks or coffee baristias. Its stupid. Don't tip fast food or sandwich shops that have tip jars out. We can't encourage this. $5+ is more than enough for coffee
Reply:Tips are a sham. It's almost expected now. These waitstaff come from a generation of crybabies with a sense of entitlement. A lot provide poor service and a $hitty attitude and expect a big tip. Those ones, I stiff. No tip. Tips are for exemplary service. To reward poor service is absurd. Remember, tips are for excellent service, not mediocre service. If the server does a poor job, you should not feel guilt tripped into leaving a small tip, you should leave nothing. If they do a good job you can leave a tip, say 15 percent. That's really optional. A good job is not an excellent job. An excellent job warrants a 20+ percent tip. Be generous to those that deserve it.
Reply:I do at least 15% or double the tax
Reply:20% is correct for good service, I tip about 15% on food delivery.

I tip my hairdresser the same.

I never get flowers, but I guess I would tip them like $2 for their service.

It's always best to err on the side of generosity.
Reply:I tip a buck or whatever and change to the delivery guys. I tip 10% for average service, 15-20% for exceptional service.

I tip my hairdresser a buck. I takes like 5 minutes to do my hair and it's nothing special.
Reply:20%...yes, tip for deliveries and hairdressers if you get good service.
Reply:resaurant is a good thing to tip %18 if it was decent service, 20% if great! or more!!!

delievery, i just tip a dollar for every $10 that i spend

hair dresser, just did that today! i tipped well over 20% cause the lady did a fantastic job! Normally , like the last time, i tipped nothing cause she screwed my hair up(different chick)

normally, just 15-18% for hair dressers, I don't give shampooers tips cause the place i go to doesn't allow it.
Reply:I am so sick of people saying "why tip? they get paychecks". Do you realize your waiter or waitress makes about 2 bucks an hour? Tipping really depends on service. I'd say 20% minimum unless your server did a truly crappy job. Just remember, he or she is taxed on what you SHOULD have left whether you leave anything or not. Plus, if you're a regular at that restaurant you may get some unpleasant seasonings at your next visit for under tipping.
Reply:at a restaurant, i usually do 20% and if the service was just ok, more like 15% which is still good. remember, if you use a coupon or get a discount, you tip 20% of the original amount. delivery, i never do moe than $5. I do tip my hairdresser about 10%
Reply:15%-20% of the total bill is what you should pay out for tip.
Reply:it depends on the service and how much your bill is.
Reply:You should tip all they are doing you a service. Waitress and waiters, bartenders, cocktail waiters, get taxed whether they det a tip or not, at least 15 to 20%, real good service a little more, you'll be remembered next time
Reply:%20-%25 is a GOOD tip, %10-%15 is average and expected most places

Anthony Pittarelli
Reply:depends on how much your bill is and yes you should tip hairdressers, delivery drivers and any other people that does service to you or for you
Reply:waitress 20% is good.....and anything over 20% is great

bartender I tip $1 every drink........and you well get the hook up at most places

hairdressers.......i tip $5-$10.......it takes them about 10-15min for me and if you tip your hairdressers tip your Tattoo artist too.....thats why you need to tip.... know one can live on that.....

delivery yes do tip because they are driving there car with there Gas and we all know gas is not $1.00 anymore

"sdbiologist" and "erica" are *** holes....

They only make $3.75 an hour......know one can live on that......Thats why you should tip unless they really suck
Reply:Once, one of the workers poured soy sauce all over my sister's feather(?) coat. And it left stains all over. But we tipped them anyway. And it all really depends on the service.
Reply:People generally go with 20% for good service.

Then again, why should we tip at all? THESE PEOPLE DO HAVE A PAYCHECK.

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, IT'S GETTING OUT OF HAND.

These days, we're expected to tip EVERYONE.
Reply:Why tip? these people get paid so why should we have to tip them on the top? I don't get tips as a nurse so ...
Reply:I am more critical of waitstaff in restaurants having been a waitress myself. I leave 20% usually, but a poor server will get 10% or less from me. I have gave up to 40% for a few exceptional waitstaff that went way beyond their duty to keep me happy. I give a hairdresser 15 to 20 % depending on how I look at the end of the cut.
Reply:you should leave a tip around 15%. if they worked well and were nice, 15 is sufficient but 20 is more appreciated. as for other services like florists and stuff, id only tip them if they were really nice. the only person i tip other than food is when i get my hair cut.

calculating 15% is alot easier than you think. just take the number (lets say 35?$) and move the decimal over one space to the left. we now have 3.5$. now take that amount and divide it in half. 1.75$. add those numbers together.

a tip for a 35$ dinner should be about 5.25$. maybe 6 if you had a good waiter.

hope this helped.

remember though, tips arent required, especially to asshole servers.
Reply:I tip delivery $1-2.

I tip restaurants $5-10 depending on the cost.

I don't believe in a certain percentage for tips and it also depends on the service in a restaurant. However, no matter what I will always tip a waiter/waitress.
