Either in a restaurant or delivery? Should I tip for all deliverys like flowers and what about hairdressers do you tip them to?
How much money is a good tip amount?
20 per cent
Reply:it depends on who is serving u because if they are good they would get at least 5.00 dollars
Reply:10% is minimum, 15% for good service. 20% for excellent service. NEVER stiff the wait staff!
Reply:a restaurant tip is should be 15%-20% of your total bill.. A hairdresser tip should be around $5 maybe more depending on what u had done
Reply:Depends on the service...
* Really crappy service that makes you wanna throw tables around...no tip
* Regular crappy service that makes you wonder if the waiter was rolling a joint before he delivered your food...5% tip
* Ok service that is somewhat satisfactory but still leaves room to be desired...10% tip
* Great service that makes you wanna ask the waiter out...15% tip
* Best service ever that makes you wish you were the waiter...20% tip
(I'm bored)
Reply:what ever that tax amount is double it and leave that for the tip
Reply:eating out 20% unless the service is bad then I do like 15%
delivery food 10% $20 for a pizza $2 tip- if I order $50 and get 5 pizzas I'd give a $5
Hairdressers yes you tip- depending on the job they did I just give about 15%
Tattoo artist- tip
Don't tip Starbucks or coffee baristias. Its stupid. Don't tip fast food or sandwich shops that have tip jars out. We can't encourage this. $5+ is more than enough for coffee
Reply:Tips are a sham. It's almost expected now. These waitstaff come from a generation of crybabies with a sense of entitlement. A lot provide poor service and a $hitty attitude and expect a big tip. Those ones, I stiff. No tip. Tips are for exemplary service. To reward poor service is absurd. Remember, tips are for excellent service, not mediocre service. If the server does a poor job, you should not feel guilt tripped into leaving a small tip, you should leave nothing. If they do a good job you can leave a tip, say 15 percent. That's really optional. A good job is not an excellent job. An excellent job warrants a 20+ percent tip. Be generous to those that deserve it.
Reply:I do at least 15% or double the tax
Reply:20% is correct for good service, I tip about 15% on food delivery.
I tip my hairdresser the same.
I never get flowers, but I guess I would tip them like $2 for their service.
It's always best to err on the side of generosity.
Reply:I tip a buck or whatever and change to the delivery guys. I tip 10% for average service, 15-20% for exceptional service.
I tip my hairdresser a buck. I takes like 5 minutes to do my hair and it's nothing special.
Reply:20%...yes, tip for deliveries and hairdressers if you get good service.
Reply:resaurant is a good thing to tip %18 if it was decent service, 20% if great! or more!!!
delievery, i just tip a dollar for every $10 that i spend
hair dresser, just did that today! i tipped well over 20% cause the lady did a fantastic job! Normally , like the last time, i tipped nothing cause she screwed my hair up(different chick)
normally, just 15-18% for hair dressers, I don't give shampooers tips cause the place i go to doesn't allow it.
Reply:I am so sick of people saying "why tip? they get paychecks". Do you realize your waiter or waitress makes about 2 bucks an hour? Tipping really depends on service. I'd say 20% minimum unless your server did a truly crappy job. Just remember, he or she is taxed on what you SHOULD have left whether you leave anything or not. Plus, if you're a regular at that restaurant you may get some unpleasant seasonings at your next visit for under tipping.
Reply:at a restaurant, i usually do 20% and if the service was just ok, more like 15% which is still good. remember, if you use a coupon or get a discount, you tip 20% of the original amount. delivery, i never do moe than $5. I do tip my hairdresser about 10%
Reply:15%-20% of the total bill is what you should pay out for tip.
Reply:it depends on the service and how much your bill is.
Reply:You should tip all they are doing you a service. Waitress and waiters, bartenders, cocktail waiters, get taxed whether they det a tip or not, at least 15 to 20%, real good service a little more, you'll be remembered next time
Reply:%20-%25 is a GOOD tip, %10-%15 is average and expected most places
Anthony Pittarelli
Reply:depends on how much your bill is and yes you should tip hairdressers, delivery drivers and any other people that does service to you or for you
Reply:waitress 20% is good.....and anything over 20% is great
bartender I tip $1 every drink........and you well get the hook up at most places
hairdressers.......i tip $5-$10.......it takes them about 10-15min for me and if you tip your hairdressers tip your Tattoo artist too.....thats why you need to tip.... know one can live on that.....
delivery yes do tip because they are driving there car with there Gas and we all know gas is not $1.00 anymore
"sdbiologist" and "erica" are *** holes....
They only make $3.75 an hour......know one can live on that......Thats why you should tip unless they really suck
Reply:Once, one of the workers poured soy sauce all over my sister's feather(?) coat. And it left stains all over. But we tipped them anyway. And it all really depends on the service.
Reply:People generally go with 20% for good service.
Then again, why should we tip at all? THESE PEOPLE DO HAVE A PAYCHECK.
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, IT'S GETTING OUT OF HAND.
These days, we're expected to tip EVERYONE.
Reply:Why tip? these people get paid so why should we have to tip them on the top? I don't get tips as a nurse so ...
Reply:I am more critical of waitstaff in restaurants having been a waitress myself. I leave 20% usually, but a poor server will get 10% or less from me. I have gave up to 40% for a few exceptional waitstaff that went way beyond their duty to keep me happy. I give a hairdresser 15 to 20 % depending on how I look at the end of the cut.
Reply:you should leave a tip around 15%. if they worked well and were nice, 15 is sufficient but 20 is more appreciated. as for other services like florists and stuff, id only tip them if they were really nice. the only person i tip other than food is when i get my hair cut.
calculating 15% is alot easier than you think. just take the number (lets say 35?$) and move the decimal over one space to the left. we now have 3.5$. now take that amount and divide it in half. 1.75$. add those numbers together.
a tip for a 35$ dinner should be about 5.25$. maybe 6 if you had a good waiter.
hope this helped.
remember though, tips arent required, especially to asshole servers.
Reply:I tip delivery $1-2.
I tip restaurants $5-10 depending on the cost.
I don't believe in a certain percentage for tips and it also depends on the service in a restaurant. However, no matter what I will always tip a waiter/waitress.
