What kind of flower is it?
The pink stuff looks like a mallow, but the plant is a wonderful mystery. RScott
Reply:The pink flower is a rose mallow, Lavatera trimestris (Malvaceae). Here's a photo on a page with a lot of info:

I have them in my garden. They self-seed a LOT so you have to weed out many seedlings and leave just a few to bloom. They're great for a sunny bank that you don't want to mow, or a wildflower patch.
